Audiobooks Novels & Stories

I’ve never heard of it. I’m not much of a reader of books. I’m too distractible. When the money started to come in from the farmers’ market, I got into audiobooks, though. The sound doesn’t exactly drown out the pecking voice, but I can kind of focus on the narrator, and it really helps the day go by better.

I can play you songs and read you audiobooks…’ ‘Okay. Okay, Alexa. If you can’t get me to work or get me food, you’re pretty much useless.’ She jabbed. ‘Technically, I can order an uber and pizza. McDonald’s and Starbucks too.’ ‘This is so cool. Maybe, you could read me an audiobook just before I fall asleep tonight.’ ‘What kind of books do you like?’ the VA asked. ‘Young Adult, romance, horror, mystery, crime…’ ‘According to a recent survey, people who read lots of horror tend to act out what they read. Often times, they try to imitate the villain in the book and…’

providing a sense of security. To pass the time, Chloe plugged her earbuds in and opened her favorite audiobooks app, GoodFM. She listened to a few chapters of a comforting novel, the words washing over her as she tried to push away the anxiety building inside her. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t escape the reality of what was coming. A waiter approached quietly, offering water or wine. Chloe opted for water, knowing she needed a clear head for whatever Dan was about to throw her way.

Today I had a substitute teacher in class they started every conversation with "And my good people..." Swear to god I was cracking up in the corner by the end of it.
