Chapter Sixteen Laila Pov “Again!” Ayesha yelled at me and I stumbled forward with sweat dotted around my face. I adjusted my posture and stared at her. Ayesha was dressed in a black two piece gym wear, she was bare footed and had no weapon in hand. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” I charged again and this time she hit my spine knocking me to the ground. “Of course I am,” she remarked and charged again towards me. I got off the ground in a back tumble, I moved away from her just in time. She struck her hands again and I ducked out of the way and hit her legs. she groaned and moved backwards.

"No, I am Ayesha Luthra!" my eyes went wide as they would bulge out from the socket, now this is the tragedy of life, I am here bickering with Ayesha Luthra with nothing in my mind.

In the CEO's office on the top floor of the Oshana Group's branch… "How's the New Chesire Group lawsuit going?" The one who spoke was the young miss of the Oshana Group, Alice Ayr. She was only 23 years old and was a mixture of Black Hawk and Umbracia nationalities. She had charming blue eyes, and her exquisite face resembled the angels described in Western mythology. She had always been the favorite of all the major fashion magazines since she was a child.

but now I do nothing but watch TikTok and just stay alone for hours and hours and I have no idea when Ace will return. "Mrs Lisa!" I heard someone say making me look away from the garden. "yes, Mia?" I asked softly. Mia was a new maid my husband hired, she's 18 years old, too little to be a maid if you ask me. but who would say no to that cute face of hers? "you have been staring at the garden for hours, just wanted to know if everything is fine," She said quietly before looking away from me. letting out a chuckle, I nodded my head before moving slightly.

With that kind of force, blood started seeping through the bandages. I let out a low groan, gritted my teeth against the pain, and looked up at this woman who'd appeared out of nowhere. Totally baffled, I asked, "Who are you?" She seemed shocked. She let out a scoff of disbelief. "Keep pretending. Keep it up. I just went overseas to celebrate Dylan's birthday. Is that really worth you acting like you're dying, Connor?" Judging by her reaction and the way Mark had shrunk back into the corner like a bystander, it finally clicked. So this was Alyssa—the one Mark had been talking about.

I did the arithmetic without wanting to and felt something cold settle low in my stomach. Ayesha, the girl who'd snapped at her friend for trash-talking me that first night, sat near the window, picking at a plate of bread and cheese she wasn't eating. She looked up when I entered, and something in her face had changed since the last time I'd seen her. Thinner. Grayer around the eyes. "Where's Priya?" I asked, sitting across from her before I'd fully decided to. "And the other girl. The one with the bleached hair."

Ash shouted they're acting weird like seriously? "Hey what's happening? Are you insane or something?" I said it with full of sarcasm. "Sabby Aeshe Zraa was a model and she's been my crush for a long time," Ashton said proudly. Ash smiles "Even Alaister Lilyane Hirsch is a model too" okay like seriously what are they talking about? Models? "Ash, look at their faces it's different? Look at their hair and their eyes it's different" Ashton said and with that, I immediately went beside him as well as Ash.

A woman spoke from outside. "Queen, may I come in?" Ashly cleared his throat. "Yes" The door opened, and a young woman entered. She stood in front of the bed and bowed. "I was appointed as your personal assistant, my Queen. My name is Zia," Ashly said with a nod. "Is that so? Can you, um, help me get out of bed? I'm kind of stuck here." She hurried up to her and started removing bedspreads. "I'm sorry, my Queen. I was strictly ordered to keep you warm."

Bimbo laughed, she was glad she met a friend. Aisha and a pretty young woman come up some minutes later, she was tall that Ben thought the height was a common thing in their family, everyone she knew from the family was tall. "Ben, meet Hassanat. the great CEO." Aisha introduced then. "Hassanat, the lady you made an abaya for. My colleague at work and Roshan's wife to be." "Oh my God, you're even more beautiful in person." Hassanat checked Ben out. "You're really beautiful." She complimented.
