Baby
They didn't travel much, so I tried to bring back some of the islands to them.
When I finally stepped foot in my room, I was exhausted, ready for bed, but as soon as I closed the door, it all came back. On the walls, on the floor, there was the reminder of who I used to be a while back. There are pictures stuck to a mirror of my old ways, my short shorts and heart-shaped sunglasses, cherry lipstick, and wild nights. A lot of them were out in the sun with long-gone friends. Now it feels like it was all a long weird dream. There's a little film of dust over them, the grainy images, the naïve smiles that know nothing about heartache and lies.
