CHAPTER ELEVEN “Amara, you forgot about this.” Amethyst handed me a mask. The mask would only cover half of the wearer’s face, including the forehead and the area surrounding the eyes. It was a masquerade mask. It was shaped like those butterfly wings. It was crafted from silver, with crystal beads designed at its corners and a black sun with four rays at the upper center. It has a lace at both ends. “Who owns it?” Amethyst asked curiously.

’ Alex thought to himself and concentrated his energy. However, the female puppet stood still and looked at him. Then, she said, “Dummy, why did you save her?” Alex froze. “You’re…” “I’m Mask!” the female puppet said. “...” Alex looked at the female puppet in a daze. He felt a little uncomfortable. Mask had saved him before, but Mask had clearly been a man. So why was Mask a female now, all of a sudden?! “You’re Mask? Which one is your real body? Are you a male or female?!”

Haruto's attention drifted toward the clothing bench where Kaito had thrown a few accessories and his gaze zeroed on a white mask. He walked over and picked it up. “Is this for something?” He was glad he sighted the mask. He had been wondering how he'd bring up the topic of the party without Aito getting suspicious. He didn't want Aito knowing he had planted a bug on him. Aito nodded. “My brothers are hosting a masquerade party. They’re celebrating a huge contract they signed, so Kaito brought me here to find something to wear.” Haruto turned the mask over in his hand, already imagining how angelic Aito would look in it. “When?”

As he confronted the mysterious woman before him, he couldn't see her face beneath the black warrior mask, but he could sense the smirk behind it. It sent shivers down his spine, but he stood firm, unfazed by her dark and cold presence. "I am the Mask Princess," she announced coldly, her sword shining bright as she raised it to his neck. He was taken aback when she revealed that she was no man, but he quickly regained his composure and informed her that she had no proper authorization to be there.

Hasen said as he took out a box and placed it on the table. Amanda grabbed some and examined them. They are modern masquerade ball masks, some of which were white, black, or silver in color. They were embellished with sparkling glitter, side feathers, jewels, and glossy silk. There are half, full, or had handles that cover the upper part of the face. "I will go now, I—" Jin said as he stood up, but he was pushed by back Hasen and Goro. "Hey man! No fair! Have some fun as well!" Hasen pats his back and side-hugged him, "Come with us to the nightclub!"

Nicklos pulled away from my body, unsheathing his sword and stoicly standing in front of me. "Oh calm down Nicklos. If you should be mad at anyone, be mad at her. He wore a black masquarade mask, covering everything but his creepy, smiling mouth. His posture, his build, it all seemed so familiar. I tried pulling myself to my feet, but Marquise kept a hand on my shoulder, keeping me down. "So, you lured her out to get to me. How pathetic of you." Nicklos replied dryly.
