"The King says keep the throttle pinned! Blood on the asphalt!" The Revers roared their approval, the sound of fifty open-piped choppers deafening the alien calls of the jungle wildlife. But the jungle wasn't just going to let an army roll through its pristine, mutated ecosystem unchallenged. "Movement on the right flank!" Captain Reyes called out. She was standing in the gunner’s hatch of a heavy scav-crawler right behind the motorcycle vanguard, her plasma rifle coated in the residual, glowing Origin-Code from the Neon Rain.

The snow grew darker the farther we went, until we reached the center of the battlefield, a crater of scorched ice and blood. And there, lying half-buried beneath a fallen banner, was Ryker. Blaise dropped to his knees beside him, his hands trembling as he brushed snow from his face. Ryker’s chest still rose faintly, shallow but steady. His fur was soaked crimson, his claws dulled, but his eyes — his eyes opened when he felt Blaise’s touch. “Dad…” Blaise choked out. Ryker’s lips curved, weak but sure. “Took… you long enough.”

Ashton and Roman laughed, while Rhyker chuckled playfully, gripping my thigh tightly. Don't fucking remind me about last night! "The army is coming next week, that is great, you will see your girlfriend and your sister, baby." Rhyker said to us, Justin held his fist up in victory. "Great, I can see Kai and Akito." I said making Rhyker looked at me, I frowned and looked at him back. "I need to make a background check." He muttered quietly, but unfortunately for him. I heard it perfectly. "What?" I asked in disbelief.

He stepped over it, wiping his gloved fingers on his thigh, leaving dark smears. Cannes' men swung their weapons toward the new threat, but Decker didn't flinch. He just tilted his head, the skull mask catching the dim light. “Pointing your guns at my friend is a crime in its own right. Pointing it at me is different. Surely, you can tell the others who did are dead?” Fuck, if I could cum right now, I would. “Nice timing, Reap.” Decker didn’t look at me. Instead, his mask stayed facing Cannes who seemed awestruck at first but after a few minutes, stretched his hand out as he slapped on a perfectly normal smile on his face. “You are a very hard man to find, Reaper King.”

" Okay, but what about my payment?" I nodded. Finding no other way to kill my time here. He guides me to the bar and steadies the revolving bar chair for me to sit. I felt strange again. No man has treated me with so much respect before. He seemed like a nice guy. We started chit-chatting, but my eyes were fixed on my brother's back. Ryder was telling me that he was the head warrior in the second-biggest pack in the world. He attended mid-semester to finish his studies.

I don’t remember that women fought at the wars, but in the Citadel it’s longer than yours. Rust snorted. Ned was silent, letting everyone speak and taking advantage of the respite so as not to kill Kleskh, whose impudence caused a surge of fierce anger in his soul. A bench creaked in the shadow of the hearth. A healthy, like a block of granite, a mentor of warriors named Daren, stood up from his place. He was of great stature and could disperse the walkers with his very appearance - powerful, with a face like an ax cut down, with eyebrows ugly dissected in his youth and a completely bald head.

I remember him telling me he would send some ahead to meet us here. “Nice to see you again Reyes. Sorry I couldn’t arrive sooner. We had a bit of an issue getting here.” The Alpha King spoke as he passed through the gate, followed by the warriors. Among the warriors was Frank Houser, the one I had called the Bulldozer during training. The other one, I didn’t know, other than seeing him around during my training. I was happy to see Frank was here because it meant he had survived this far. “I hear you have been creating quite a ruckus around here.” Frank teased.

"I repeat, base, this is unit four. What is Gideon's ETA?" "Unit four, base," a crackling voice replied. "Gideon is three minutes out. Hold your perimeter. Do not engage if you see movement." "Yeah, easy for you to say," Recker muttered, shining his tactical flashlight into the dense tree line. His hand shook slightly, making the bright beam bounce across the wet pine branches. "You are sitting in a warm security booth. We are out here waiting to get our heads chopped off." Clipping the radio back to his tactical vest, Pike let out a heavy breath. "Just keep your eyes open, Recker. Stop whining."

He floored the engine, the SUV skidding in the mud before finding traction and roaring past the silver cars. I leaned back against the seat, the adrenaline finally drowning out the fire in my chest and replacing it with a cold, murderous void. I looked at my hands....my shaking, bloody hands that had pull a trigger at fifteen and spent a decade trying to wash the stain away....and I realized that the Reaper wasn't just a nickname. It was a promise. I reached into the tactical bag at my feet and pulled out a fresh magazine, clicking it into my Beretta with my good hand.
