Having been a wolf though, I had to admit I didn’t like the waste. I told him we would need to hunt with shifters and demons so the rest of the animal wouldn’t go to rot in the future and he agreed.

Jade could safely say that the scene unfolding in front of her was the strangest thing she had ever seen in her entire life. The wolf that had been chasing her had its way blocked by another with dark fur that took several inches and kilos of weight from her, so she could not reach her. The latter also showed his fangs and the bristling back made him look menacing. Every time the brown wolf tried to attack the human, it was bitten anywhere and thrown, without much force but enough to alert it. That scene stayed the same for two long minutes.

Saliva dripped from his snarling jaws as he crouched, preparing to attack. The two wolves collided with a thunderous crash, their snarls and growls echoing through the bakery. Claws raked fur and flesh, teeth snapped with lethal intent. Ryker’s agility countered Bruce’s brute strength as they moved in a flurry of strikes and evasions. Despite the chaos, Ryker’s every move was calculated, his wolf form exhibiting both power and precision.

He says vaguely as he cuts through different vegetables with ease. I think I know what he’s implying. “How come you’re alone? Don’t bears have…?” I stop because I don’t know what they call themselves or know much about them. The corner of his lip forms a mocking smirk. “Most bears are loners except when we have cubs, since we don’t have mate bonds. That’s more of a wolf thing. But for the few that tend to live together, we call it a tribe. They're not as common anymore, or at least not around here, so I can excuse your limited knowledge.” He explains and mocks at the same time. Bastard.

Asmoday is seen often, but the sightings are so random we can't predict when he will pop up. “Does anyone have any idea who the other two are that are working for or with the bears?” I ask. “No one has seen anyone and from what Chris told me none of the wolves picked up any foreign scents the days leading up to the fire. They pack knew the bears where htere but they never crossed the border. Whoever those other two are can conceal their scents.” Ares answers.

Adrian continues to suck in air before he finally gets up and meets the younger me eye to eye. "The catch is--" Suddenly, my wolf growls sensing the intimidating presence of something dangerous, and huge. I turned my head almost immediately when the biggest, blackest bear I've ever seen in my life jumps from the bushes, baring its teeth at us. My wolf sprung to action and fought the bear with all I could, only thinking of protecting my wolfless brother right behind me. When he was open, I sink my canines deep into his skin, grunting once I hear his neck snap before dropping the body on the hard ground, now lifeless.

I can’t say honestly that I would treat bear shifters outside our pack with the same approach though. We were able to pick up Petra’s scent easily and followed it for a few hours across barren plains. A bear's sense of smell was a hundred times stronger than that of a wolf and they made for good trackers. Even the faintest of scent they could pick up. Today I was happy that I had a few bear shifters in our pack. It made picking up the little girls' scent that much easier.

I asked Aisha who that was and Aisha growled like a demon wolf. "Wonderful," I mumbled softly and watched a huge bear rush towards the wolves. "Get 'em, dad," Aiden growled menacingly with clenched fists that were glowing. I suggested that he calm himself down and he shook out his tiny hands and the glow faded. I watched Zurac and the bear rolling on the ground and claws being swiped across the fur. Zurac ripped out the bear's throat and the beast wobbled off a bit then fell to its death. I watched the fire wolf limp towards us and turned to give him privacy as he shifted. When he came into the cabin his face was covered in bear blood. Turstin looked back at the nonchalant Adelard, he seemed unconcerned for her or the baby he claimed to own just a few moments ago. “What the hell have you done?” Turstin jumped at his brother. Adelard pushed him off to the side, narrowly escaping the sharp claws of the white gigantic wolf. Adelard howled loudly as he changed his form into a brown and white wolf. The two wolves started to attack each other, and the battle between the two of them became fierce, no one dared to intervene. Their whimpers could be heard even outside the castle. They fought for a while both inflicting pain on each other, with a few bites and cuts; but nothing insignificant. Though they were furious with each other

Aliyah The bears were huge, but Ashton's wolf was more massive and agile. He darted between them, snapping and snarling, trying to keep them at bay. I watched in silence as he fought off the bears, his fur bristling with ferocity. Each swipe of his powerful paws sent the bears stumbling backward. But there were too many of them, constantly pressing on, and I knew we couldn't outrun or outfight them all. Ashton went back in my direction. He nudged me, urging me to climb onto his back. I mounted him, holding on tightly as he sprinted away from the relentless bears. We raced through the forest, Ashton's wolf effortlessly maneuvering through the dense underbrush.
