She left the laundry behind again because she had something more important to discuss. "AJ?" Ruby asked slowly, and AJ looked up from his bowl of cereal. "That man... Beast? How did you meet him?" Ruby asked. She had momentarily forgotten that AJ knew Ed. "Beast is in the school treehouse. His ear was hurt." AJ's explanation was brief, and to him, it was sufficient. Of course, it wasn't enough for Ruby. She desperately wanted to know how Ed ended up in the treehouse at AJ's school. Was it just a terrible coincidence, or was he hiding something else?
