Behind Her Eyes Ending Explained Novels & Stories

I say. She looks horrified at what I just said; she lets me go and makes a beeline for the door. Before she steps out of the door, she gives me one final look and then proceeds to leave, closing the door softly behind her. Although I don’t miss the look of vengeance in her eyes... ____________________________________

“That’s all that matters.” I nodded, though my attention stayed on her. There was something distant in her eyes, something that hadn’t been there before everything happened. She wasn’t just stronger now. She was carrying something heavy. “What are we going to do next?” I asked, turning fully toward her. “We can’t just hide here forever.” She didn’t answer right away. Instead, she moved toward the window, her eyes fixed outside like she was looking at something only she could see. “I’m not hiding forever,” she said quietly. “I still have something to finish.”

Her eyes were left open, she heaved her last breath while gazing into my eyes. Blood spilled from her lips and her chest into the fire which erupted into violent flames. The fire spread across the room, demarcating it in half. Blake was on the other side, deep cackles escaping his lips as he turned to me. With one hand around Elijah, a tear escaped my eyes.

We finally found solace with lying on her body, fucking her while looking into her eyes. This went on till we let it all loose and hanging. Hey eyes rolled back as I groaned, releasing my load in a wild feeling of euphoria and ecstasy. We both orgasmed at the same time. I lied down at the table beside her, she turned to look at me, with those amazingly beautiful eyes of hers. I rubbed her thigh gently, as if wanting to arouse her again. She gave me a curious look I couldn't decipher. I went in to try kissing her, but she looked the other way, turned away, out of the table and left without uttering a word to me. I was confused as much as anyone would be. I couldn't make into any sense what ha

As they disappeared, the screens in front of me flickered back to the empty courtyard, leaving me with only silence and the echo of her violet eyes looking back through the fading mate bond. The taste of finality was bitter.

‘I sat down on the bleachers, my body in a frenzy and my cheeks were beginning to get stained with tears,’ I could feel my temperature rising and my heart rate fastened. I shook like an epileptic patient; my visions were vague until I understood. ‘I opened my eyes and Beck’s eyes were staring intently at me, his arms around me to hold me from falling. ‘Someone dies’, I said amidst tears. ‘I couldn’t see who but someone dies there that day’, I said wiping my tears and standing to my feet. ‘Thank you’ he said, his eyes were hard now, the care I had seen when I had opened my eyes were gone.

To be honest, my libido went up, causing irregular pulses in several parts of my body. We arrived at a room. A woman with horns and red eyes flashed, intercepted. "A new girl again?" She asked. "She's not a prisoner for you to take her soul," Kevin argued without answering the horned woman's question. "So she's not my meal candidate?" I started to get goosebumps. Meal candidate? So the horned girl was going to eat me and Jack brought me here on purpose to... “Jack… who is that woman?” I whispered. “She is… she is… my wife….”

And she also wouldn't have been so desperate to ask the King and Queen to release her from the competition, and to not make her waste an entire year here. What was she thinking when she decided to take the damn thing from her eyes and look at herself in the mirror when she knew she was going to see her death? How insane has she become to do that? "What are you thinking?" Adonis asked, staring at me and bringing me back to reality. Sigh. "Just... What was this idiot thinking when she decided to see her death?"

Her lips trembled as she whispered, “So many had to die for this peace. So many futures cut short. So many families broken.” Her vision blurred with tears again, and slowly, the scene pulled away, fading into white. Her eyes, once glowing white, blinked back into their natural color. The vision had ended.

At Dante and Nikolai and Enzo standing at the edge of the floodlit circle watching her with three different expressions that all meant the same thing. It was over. She had to know it was over. Her eyes moved across the field one more time. Calculating. Measuring. And then they stopped. They stopped on something behind me and to the left. Her expression changed. Just slightly. Just enough. Something in her eyes lit up. Bright and sudden and deeply wrong. Like she had just seen a way out.
