Belle Da Costa Greene Mother Novels & Stories

BELLA From between the pines, the Queen Mother emerges, her skirts gathered in one hand, her long hair slipping from its braid. She's no longer dressed like royalty. Only simple travelling clothes that cling to her frame, stained with mud and dust, as though she'd crossed half the world on foot. The moment she sees Rhain standing beside me, relief lights up her face. "My son..." She closes the distance in hurried, uneven steps and throws her arms around him. Rhain stiffens in surprise before slowly returning the embrace.

Her words faltered as her sharp eyes darted over my shoulder. Her demeanor changed in an instant, transforming into a picture of grace. “Mrs. Laura Hemsworth,” she said smoothly, her voice dripping with false warmth. “How lovely to see you here…” I turned and saw my mother. Five or six bodyguards trailed her like loyal shadows. Her ageless beauty was almost otherworldly, as though the moon itself had favored her. Standing beside Luna Sonia, my mum's presence made her seem as if she belonged to another era entirely.

I want to give another doctor a try when she is safely in my house but my mother is refusing to stay with me and the thought of it makes me vulnerable. I watch Belle spread her arms wide and hug my mother. Mother begins to sob as she disengages and kisses her forehead. Belle wipes her tears and hugs her again. I stand watching the drama between them. "I am so happy", she mutters in between sobs. After a while, Belle releases her from the hug. "I am Natalie, you must be Belle, right?" "Yes, ma'am", Belle smiles. "How have you been and how is the baby?" Her gaze shifts to her belly.

“Tell me Violet, are you here on internship? Kang tells me that you might take his job.” I winced at the last part and gave her a small smile. “I guess I am, but no im not trying to take Kangs job or anyones job.” I admitted honestly. “If you keep up with your competency I think you might. Mr. Greene likes people on the job, like mother like son.” She had met his mother? “Wait? His mother?” “Yes, Annabella Greene, the woman who built this empire to where it is after her husband died. I heard she put Ansel to the task right when he turn eight years old.”

With all her wealth and our family's name, mommy could easily put off anyone overstepping her boundaries. However, today, Mrs. Grey plays the role of a loving and devoted mother. She has an angelic and charming natural smile, only seen within her compound and on a few occasions for the camera. Today Mrs. Grey dazzles in a long chocolate dress, revealing her curves to the public. I envy mommy for being 20 years older than I, yet looking like my age mate. Whenever in social places with her, people, including my friends, mistake mommy for my sister. Mrs. grey pushes aside her old age with a continuous workout. Mommy enjoys morning and evening runs. She participates in weekend hiking and hill-cl

He pulls her up to his side and says, “Mom, dad, this is G-” The woman looked as if she had seen a ghost. “Greer?” Liam looks shocked that his mom knows her names already and Adam stares at Greer as if he can not believe his eyes. Bella also stares at the girl, looking a bit pale. She takes a step closer to have a better look. “You are Belinda's granddaughter, Greer, aren't you?” Greer nods, noticing the look of shock on Liam's face. He turns to face her with a frown. “You can't be.”

Her voice projected from behind me. I veered around and caught a glimpse of Queen Zita, Bella's mother, looking somewhat enraged with anger and despair. I evaded her hot stare because I knew what she was capable of when angered. " She is missing," I responded in a low voice. "What do you mean she is missing? Ain't you not supposed to take care of her and know all her whereabouts?" She hissed while her eyes changed color to a grim green glow. Her fingers were spread out, ready to strike at me again.

YOUR MOTHER IS WAITING. Below was a photo. Her mother. Alive. Sitting in a fancy chair. Next to her stood an older woman. Elegant. Terrifying. At the bottom in red letters. WELCOME TO THE BELMONT FAMILY. Celeste dropped the phone. Damien picked it up. His face went white. "That's Eleanor Belmont." "And my mother is with her." "Like she's been there all along." Celeste couldn't breathe. Was her mother with the Belmonts this whole time? Has everything been a lie? Was her mother the real enemy?

“Kellyanne Caruso, you better be nice to me from now on, or you’ll suffer the consequences!” Kellyanne was taken aback before she erupted in rage. “How dare you threaten me?! You’re threatening me when you’re staying in my house?! “Who do you think you are? On what grounds are you threatening me? I’m the Greenes’ daughter-in-law and Bella’s mother. I—” It seemed that Kellyanne was about to flaunt even more about her statuses, but Javier did not let her continue. “On what grounds? Because Mr. Chase Young sent me to Ms. Bella Greene!

In all this Sinclair drama I’d almost forgotten she was here. But she is, a look just as stoic as Bella’s plastered in her face. “Mrs Sinclair. Lovely to meet you again.” She says curtly, her slight British accent making the words very polite. But Celeste doesn’t feel the same, because before Riley is done uttering her last word, she’s charging towards her in heated steps. Bella, who towers over her mother, stops the woman from even coming an inch away from Riley. That doesn’t stop Celeste from flinging her arms and trying to break through the barricade that is her daughter.
