I looked around and saw a tall, muscular guy with dark hair walking out of the shadow. I recognized him. He was the captain of the school football team, a blazing sports star that was famous across the country, playboy number one, and practically a male whore. Lucas Sigler. He was wearing a tailored suit, which fit him perfectly everywhere except the part of his upper arms. It took me a while to figure out that Lucas Sigler was actually talking to me because he walked straight at me in front of everyone. "You..." He lowered his head and stared at me, looking intense.

Aaron stalked forward and stared down into Knox's face when he came to a halt right on his toes. "Did it stimulate your taste buds? Mess with your mind?" Aaron's hands lifted as if it was aiming to touch Knox's face but he slapped it away and stepped out of the man's offensive pressure. He snarled then opted to ignore him then shifted on his heels towards the phone. He reached for it but he halted right as his fingers touched the screen. The shock was so overwhelming from the picture that none of them registered that this was their captain, giving them a show of his privates, a full-on nude. It was obscene.

For the first time, he didn’t seem like the untouchable captain everyone feared. I don’t know what made me walk over. “You okay?” I asked quietly. He lifted his head slowly. Those icy blue eyes met mine, and for a second he looked surprised I was still there. I shifted on my feet. “Earlier… when that guy got hurt. You got to him really fast. Thanks for helping him. Most captains would’ve waited for the coach.” Cole stared at me for a long moment, like my words didn’t make sense to him. “You noticed that?”

The kind of lethal that made smart girls run and stupid girls fall. I wasn’t here to do either. I tore my eyes away from the poster and squared my shoulders. The heel of my boot clicked against the tile with more attitude than I felt. I could fake it. I’d faked worse.

"And in what ways can you help the authorities?" "Well..." Duke picked a paper from the floor with Klyde's picture in it. "I think I have the best man to help you put Klyde McMarrow down." He has this smirk on his lips as he said those. "I'm doing this because I want to do something good after that sh*ts I did, but I also don't want to turn myself in the church just to say I'm a heaven man now but... I'm telling you, Captain America with a not so bulky body and with a pair of squinting eyes, I'm the biggest help you could ever have."

She leaned casually against the kitchen doorway, arms folded as she watched me scrub the stone like it had personally offended her. I dipped the brush back into the bucket. “Then maybe you shouldn’t give prisoners cleaning supplies.” Lena gave me a faint smile. “Come to see the newest girl he took from her family?” I muttered. Lena stepped inside. “You’re dramatic.” “You look comfortable,” I said. “Guess being the Alpha’s favorite comes with benefits… or maybe being his favorite bedmate has its perks.” That made Lena pause just enough for me to notice, then tilted her head slightly, a faint, unreadable smile playing at her lips.

I like what he stands for. He won’t compromise. We need people who will stand up for what they believe in, even if it isn’t popular. Even if the whole world is against them. I like that he is a goody goody. His looks are just an added bonus.” I fan myself.
