Celestial Bodies: of Runts and Lycans

Celestial Bodies: of Runts and Lycans

I shook my head. "Okay, but have you ever tried a triple mocha?" I raised a brow towards Josh. "I will take that as a no with the assumption that Xavier probably gave you black coffee?" Coffee can be made in other ways? "Come on," he said, linking our arms, "I'll show you the life." I was taken to a little restaurant that seemed to only sell coffees and teas. I was a little embarrassed at how long it was taking to read the menu so I got Josh's recommended triple mocha. "So!" Josh grinned while Zay rolled her eyes in his direction. "What do you think?" I hesitated in bringing the straw to my lips, although the drink did look delicious. Swirls of chocolate decorated the clear cup filled with a

My Mafia Husband's Photo Game

My Mafia Husband's Photo Game

I called out to the back of the man who was about to hand the gun's frame to Leo. Ryder turned his head, his eyes questioning. I smiled, pointing to the donuts on the table. "Get chocolate next time. Leo doesn't like strawberry." Ryder stilled for a second before a slow smile spread across his face, lighting up his deep-set eyes. "As you wish, My Queen."

The Photo Collector

The Photo Collector

CHUCK After five minutes at most, Rabiya got out of the kitchen room with a serving platter and three cups of coffee. Just by the aroma of it, and just by seeing how the steam evaporated in the air sending thin clouds of visible smoke towards us, as if a hand trying to seduce us to drink it right away, I could already determine that the freshly brewed coffee were so satisfying. I jumped out of the sofa where I decided to sit for three minutes, and fetched Rabiya from the isle to get the cup she prepared for me. I determined it right away which cup was mine, because I was the only one who ordered my coffee to be black and pure. No sure, no creamer, no anything at all. “You better be sure this

Trip Series 1: A Trip To Your Heart

Trip Series 1: A Trip To Your Heart

Our basis for our course is the thing that we love the most, in that way it would be easier for us to adjust to the new life we are ahead of. Presently, I am on my way to Miró Coffee. Caroline and I's meeting place, also my favorite coffee shop since their coffee is something that really suits my coffee taste. Their coffee beans are something as well, perhaps it is because they have a direct trade relationship with a coffee farm in Nicaruga. Also their menu, they have a variety of coffee filters and espresso. They also serve coffee cocktails and wine for dates. Their interior design catches attention too, minimal and open space, plus their free Wi-Fi. The moment I reach the coffee shop, I im

Broken Then Desired

Broken Then Desired

We weaved through the maze of tables, past smiling faces and curious eyes, until we reached the open space in front of the counter. A cafe worker with a booming voice stood in front of us. He held a microphone. “Okay, lovebirds! Listen up!” he shouted, his voice echoing. “We’ve got five couples here tonight! Three quick games! First game, two couples are out! Second game, another couple is out! The last two couples face off in the final round! And the winners…” He paused for drama, then pointed to a table beside him. “…get this giant, fluffy teddy bear and a massive tub of our finest, creamiest ice cream!” The crowd burst into applause again. I just stood there with my arms crossed tightly o

End Game

End Game

Candies, grilled meat, fresh fruit—everything smelled like summer and money. Days like this were a Kingmoore Court tradition. Once in a while, the residents stepped out of their glass houses and marble hallways and gathered by the water, pretending to be normal. The Kingmoore salon, barbershop, and spa had all set up removable stalls right on the sand, white canopies flapping lazily in the breeze.

Burning Embers: Scorching Tales of Desire

Burning Embers: Scorching Tales of Desire

Geoff said, grinning ear to ear. They walked on, passing a coffee shop where people sat tapping away at laptops. Geoff nudged him inside, steering him toward the counter. “Choose whatever you like,” Geoff said. Keenan scanned the glowing menu board, his lips moving as he tried to piece together the names. “Caramel… macchiato… latte. These are spells.” “They’re just coffee drinks,” Geoff said, amused. The barista looked up expectantly. Keenan straightened, gripping his pride like a sword. “I will have… your strongest potion.”

Violets and Ash

Violets and Ash

Sure enough, his voice slid across the mind-link and answered my unspoken suspicion. ‘Get me a large, iced caramel macchiato with four pumps of vanilla—not the sugar free shit they have, and extra caramel drizzle. If Katie’s at the register, tell her I want coconut cold foam on top. She’ll know what to do. Oh, and have them make the three shots ristretto. It’s just too bitter if they aren’t, completely ruins the flavor of the drink.’ I pinched the bridge of my nose, fighting off the headache that was already forming.

Maria Balanos
I had trouble putting this down. Probably my favourite so far. Love the way the characters evolve and the interchange between them. Definitely not lacking in lots of plot twists and turns. Just when you thought it was safe… well done, Jane. Can’t wait to read your next books!!
Author K.C Rae
Absolutely beautiful writing, it’s been about a year since I’ve read Jane Doe’s work and I simply cannot believe how much she’s improved (not that she was bad/mediocre before). The story itself kept you captivated with lots of twists and turns, the characters were likable and spice was 4/5 stars

He took the ground coffee, measured it using a digital scale according to the amount he needed to make Marie's favourite drink, and then brewed it using an espresso machine. The aroma of coffee quickly spread throughout the room. Without wasting much time, after Marie's favourite drink—Pam Sugar Iced Coffee—was ready, he immediately got up from the kitchen and served it to Marie. “Your drink is ready, My Queen.” Marie turned to him, smiling happily and accepting her favourite drink. "It tastes good. Thanks, Keith." "Anything for you," Keith winked, then sat back in his chair. "After this, do you have any plans--"

A Key to the CEO's Heart

A Key to the CEO's Heart

With only two baristas working at the counter and two working at the back, the coffee house is full with people waiting to be served. When it is my turn, I hand the Centurion Black Card to the barista and try to place my order as soon as I can. “Can I have a cup of ristretto, and a grape wine lamb and porcini lasagna to go please? Make it quick.” Just as I say, the barista takes Jamie’s card from my hand. However, before I can notice, he runs his fingers through my palm. With a sharp gasp, I draw my hand back in a reflex action. I raise my head and look at the barista, and I see Bobby.
