Gabriel shakes his head like he’s been in a trance. “Got it. I slowly approach and hide behind a big tree to see what they are doing. Gabriel is tied to a big rock, and he has knife cuts over his whole body. I feel sad and angry at the same time when I see what they did to Gabriel. "I have finally found a good guy, so I am not going to let them take him from me," I think to myself. I don't care that I am outnumbered by 1 to 100. I would rather die than let Gabriel suffer any further. I channel all my anger and walk into the open spot.

The nurse gives me directions after a quick check, and I nod in thanks, already turning— only to stop mid-step. Because he’s there. Walking toward the hallway. For a moment, I just stare. Gabriel looks… nothing like he usually does. His posture is still straight, still controlled—but it’s thinner now, like it’s barely holding him together. She began gathering clothes as the Angel towered over Xavier, sniffing him. “Stop!” She screamed causing Xavier to look confused. “I’m not doing anything.” He protested. “Just get out so I can get dressed.” Xavier held his hands up while walking out of the room. She sighed looking deadly at the Angel. “Who are you?” She asked in a much lower tone. “I’m Gabriel, God’s warrior, one of the many carriers of souls.” “Well Gabriel, whatever,” His eyebrows rose at her clear disrespect. “I have a job to do so just go away and let me focus.”

He stayed laying on the small bed remembering everything that happened before he lost consciousness. A fight with Ezekiel. Being thrown off the bridge and then being stabbed by a sharp rock. He wasn't expecting to find himself laying on someone's bed and also being dressed up after waking up. It was obvious that Ezekiel did try to end him but he forgot the fact that killing a werewolf is not that easy. Especially when the werewolf is a hybrid. Gabriel was a blood of a witch and a werewolf that's why he had witch's powers as well. He could heal himself but right now he was more surprised by the fact that someone tried to help him.

He didn't look down, and he didn't look like a man who had lost. He stared straight ahead, toward the camera, as if he knew I was watching. My tears fell. Lucas, who was lying on his stomach on the carpet, looked at me in confusion. Ethan stopped crawling and stared too. Noah, who was in my arms, lifted his tiny hand and touched my wet cheek.

All of them sat there, unable to look Gabriella in the eye and clearly unwilling to talk in front of the others as she peppered them with her questions. “Do you want that bastard to come back? To kill your people without cause as he did before?” Gabriella took a deep breath. The pain was getting horrible and she was having trouble breathing. It seemed the more she got worked up the quicker the infection spread. She was still waiting for an answer when one of the angels appeared in the room. They had found something they thought might stop the infection from spreading and needed Gabriella to be moved to their house in the city.

I know she is probably just passing through, but I am not about to let her leave now that I have her. A realization hits me, and I feel like a total idiot. Here I am having a full conversation about marking her and I don’t even know her name. “What’s your name?” I ask her. “Oh, awkward” She sings as she pulls away from me. I just realize I didn’t know it” I tell her grabbing her tiny waist pulling her back close to me. “Hannah”, she says cocking her head to the side, and wrapping her arms around my shoulders. “Hannah,” I say pulling my hand from behind her back to shake her hand, “I’m Gabriel, but you can call me Babe, I mean Gabe”. He took the two bundle of joy from the woman while she untied her scarf and cleaned me. I managed to sit up and the two little lives were placed on my arms.
