She felt confused, and a little overwhelmed by it all, more so since her dream. By the time the day ended, she found herself packing her bag. Hayden had disappeared somewhere in the rush. Georgia walked out with her friends and they parted ways as usual. Benny jumped into Lisa’s Volkswagen GTI and Georgia decided to skip the bus ride and walk home to clear her head. She looked for Hayden’s car and was grateful when she didn’t spot it anywhere. As she walked home, her backpack bounced behind her and the sky began to darken once more. She was consumed with thoughts of Hayden’s strange behavior again.

He began to walk toward her, each step slow and deliberate, the floorboards creaking beneath his feet like the tolling of a funeral bell. Every sound seemed to ring directly in Gwen’s ears, driving her deeper into panic. She scrambled backward in desperation, only to be kicked forward by the guards behind her, leaving her sprawled and helpless.

“I should call Alex and see whether he is asleep or not. If he isn’t, then maybe we can go on a walk towards the dark forest. With him, I feel secure.” She dialed Alexander’s number on her phone. She frowned when he didn’t receive her call. Her phone had only one bar as she was standing in an open space. Maybe he doesn’t have a network, but if he didn’t, the call wouldn’t ring in the first place, she thought. “Guys!” someone hollered all of a sudden, making her shudder. Becca looked at Greneia, one of her classmates, who was standing near the bonfire. Fear was written all over her face. She called out once again, “Guys, please come out.” Tears dripped from her eyes.

Imogen sighed. "How long will he be like that?" Izzy questioned again Imogen didn't acknowledge her. "We don't know," Beatrix answered. "I'm Beatrix by the way and the rude one over here is my big sister Imogen." "I'm Gabrielle, you already met Cleopatra and this is our pack doctor Isabelle," Gabz introduced. Beatrix shook their hands. Imogen though just ran a few more tests on Gerry to make sure he's comfortable. The girl didn't hate werewolves, but she thought she was better than them, they're just supernatural dogs, she thought.

Her body hit the floor not able to take it again, she blacked out, but got kicked back to consciousness, Greta walked past her after she saw Alex's eyes flicker back open. Greta was in a terrible mood, she cursed as she walked past Alex who lay down there unable to move. Whatever Greta's reason for coming back early was none of my business, and I don't care if she had a bad day, where ever she went, all I knew for sure was that she didn't buy a punching back when she agreed to take in Alex, she had no right to treat a human being this way.

Ben nodded his head grimly and I glanced at Raine once, asking her to follow us. As I stepped outside, I saw the small group huddled together, looking at me like frightened chickens that would be slaughtered soon. I could understand their fear and worries. Ben and the other werewolves had dug a small pit where we would bury Greta, whose body was covered in a white cloth. Clearing my throat, I addressed the small group, “Today is the day we mourn the loss of one of our kind. Greta had shown great signs of becoming a future Luna and a strong warrior. Unfortunately, she is not with us anymore.

She knew what her responsibility was. “Tell me who did those things to the Green Lake, Irene,” she turned around, staring into Irene’s eyes, “You must tell me that Alpha's name.” Irene sighed, putting the glass on the counter. “It was Gregson,” she said, averting her gaze at Darren, “You’ve already killed him last year because he tried to ambush you on your way back from the vampires.” Darren clenched his fists subconsciously. It was unexpected news, out of all his good or bad assumptions. He didn’t know how to react.

Greta pulls her chin out of Nathan's fingers, turns and walks to the door but before she walked out she turned, looks over her shoulder and says, "Luna Skyler was 3 weeks pregnant with triplets even before she had sex with that vampire..." Greta then disappears, popping back up in front of her mate, needing him to hold her. She breaks down crying as he wraps her in his arms, not asking as he knows she will either tell him or show him when she is ready.

Holding back her own tears, knowing that there is no way she is as heartbroken as a man who lost his ex wife and daughter, she consoles him while her own man consoles her at the same time. The duo might have not been the best... Infact, they were never the best, never... But she didn't want to see them die this way. One burnt with everything on her head and the other, just dead...
