Animal. I reached out, hand trembling like a leaf caught in the wind. The paper wasn’t bent. Wasn’t smudged. It sat there with purpose, as though it had been placed by someone who believed they had the right to speak. I unfolded it. One line. One sentence. He belongs with me. Everything inside me stopped. The air didn’t shift. The candle didn’t flicker. But my world tilted. It was the kind of tilt you don’t feel until everything inside you spills.

"It's in the world. Anyone can read it. Including you." "It said — " he paused, selecting the words carefully the way he always selected words. "It said you were the most honest person the reviewer had ever seen in that kind of setting. That you answered questions without managing them. That you said things about your own experience that most people would be afraid to say in front of strangers." He paused again. "It said reading the book and then seeing you in person confirmed that the book is the actual person." She felt that. "The book is the actual person," she said.

he raised his hand in surrender "but how can I see the title if your of your book if you're in there on your bed and far away from the window?" "I'm only human you know, and there is only a limited distance at which I can read" he says as a smirk remained on his face "Oh right" I muttered making my way to my large window and showing him the book. "I love your top" he said casually while folding his arms and placing them on the window frame. I felt my gave going up in flames and I thanked mother nature I wasn't some shades lighter, cause if I was,

I was too hungry to savour the taste, so I just scoffed it down but it was delicious, and by the time I was done, the world was a much happier and brighter place. It was when I was leaving, sipping my coke that I noticed the shiny black Mercedes Benz sitting infront of the bookstore, and of course I only saw it now that my stomach was no longer at war with me. I was reminded of the gorgeous man who was currently in the bookstore,the same man I just completely embarrassed myself Infront of. Shoot me now.

And then she poured the lighter fluid over my books, one by one, before setting them on fire while I watched. I only managed to save this one—my favourite. It’s the story of a boy no one ever loved. A boy everyone ignored, spat on, forgot. But he grows up and saves the world from hunger with nothing but his wit and heart. I used to think he was just a character. But now… now I see myself in him. I want to be like him. I want to prove that I’m not useless. That maybe, one day, I can be something to the world.

"No, I just wanted to make sure you were settling in alright. If you need anything, just let me know." With that, he turned and walked away, leaving me alone with my thoughts and my newly acquired book. As I walked back to my seat, the excitement and anticipation within me grew once more, and I knew that I had made the right choice. For no one could know the power that lay within this book, the secrets and knowledge that could shape the world around me. And with every turn of the page, I reveled in the possibilities, knowing that my life would never be the same.

she said and went back inside. I shrugged off my doubts and went inside as well with my bag and phone in my hands. I was nearing the table when I saw the gang. All of them were here and Danzel as well. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. ‘You create havoc wherever you go’ his words came rushing back to me. And I felt my heart clench. I don't know why but I am affected by him. His ignorance hurts me. And I feel weak. But I promised that I won't let anyone make me feel weak. Not even Danzel.

___________________________________________________________________________ 25 / 11 / 2021 Looking out of the window as I watch the trees zoom past me , I just take in the incredible creations God had created . Honestly , I feel truly honored to be a part of this world. Imagine…one day , years ago – God decided that the world needed you , hence why you were created…DOES THAT NOT BLOW YOUR MIND?! I recall the day I started journaling my daily events – I remembered the unwanted feelings I had. The feeling of loss of hope , the feeling of being lost and the feeling of being used that been tormenting for since this year began.

"What...is this?" I saw my hands shaking as I crumbled the paper. I thought I had lived like an ordinary person who had common problems. But the assumption was wrong. My life is still like a plot in a book that must have conflict as an entertaining element in it. And it won't be solved until the signed book is over. But haven't I finished my role in this damn book? Then what else does this world want from me? Who should I blame? My jaw trembled when I clenched it. My heart is rumbling wildly asking me to immediately leave this place. So I stood up, but my legs were numb.
