In the center hovered a mass of something that wasn’t exactly code and wasn’t exactly paper.
Screens.
Hundreds of them.
Shards of glass and light, all different sizes, some still bezeled, others raw, floating in a tight cluster. They showed flickering scenes from the worlds we’d crossed—castle corridors, neon alleys, the Ferris wheel, the bus—the images stuttered and overlapped like a thousand live feeds crammed into one broken mosaic.
