Bird Box Creature Novels & Stories

She jumped off the bed and rushed towards the window, pressing her hands against the glass as she stared up at the colourful beaked creatures. They were much bigger than pigeons and maybe even seagulls. With a body that slithered through the sky like a snake, but so much more enchanting. Misty coloured dust left behind them as they flew away. "What are those?" She asked mostly to herself, but heard that gender-less voice answer. "Birds. Have you never seen them before?" She felt a laugh bubble in her throat, she turned as she began, "Oh I've seen birds and they don't-" her voice caught in her throat as she looked at a creature she had never seen before.

It was a crack in the Citadel's perfect control. He saw the carved wooden bird. It was clumsy, made by an amateur hand, but it had life in it. It was a piece of someone's soul, brought into this dead place. He pointed at it. "That. What's the story?" Dax shrugged. "Some worker made it. From a piece of packing crate. We trade for it. Stupid, but... it's something." It wasn't stupid. It was everything. It was a act of creation. A act of defiance.

Barry explained to Chase. "But the Zago creatures we've seen so far are flying bugs and insects. There's even the massive Doom Mantis. Can they live in such houses?" Walter was reminded of the flying bugs, jellyfish, and Doom Mantis. He could not believe creatures like that would live in human-type buildings.

Lillian looked around, the items in the warehouse were already neatly arranged, but it was clear that the task was far from over because the room was still full of dust. Wiggy led Lillian to a wooden chest in the corner of the room, put his index finger on his mouth before opening the chest. An egg. Eggs are medium-sized with a dark blue color, and an imperfect circle pattern that is a lighter blue. The egg was already cracked and the cracks increased as the egg moved. Slowly, the eggshell peeled off, revealing a creature just like a Biblue bird. It's just a much smaller size and covered in a thin membrane. “What? how?! “ I cried. “Don’t you think after all these millennia’s, if there was a creature inside here, with us, that could open this Box… That we wouldn’t have tried to open it already?” She said. “Well, now that you say it like that, yes… But The Others think the creature lives inside the Box. It was their entire plan to open my Box so they could release the creature, and then use the creature to open the portal between here and The Otherside permanently.” I said.

The shell continued to crack, layer by layer, until a small creature’s head popped out. It had a beak, sharp green eyes, and feather-like scales that shimmered with a soft emerald glow. A gentle screech escaped it as it stumbled from the shell, slick with silver fluid. Then it rose, unsteady but proud, shaking off the last traces of its birth. A beast-bird. Like Eryndor, yet... different. So beautiful. And it was hers? She reached out a hand. It came closer, chirping low, then climbed into her arms without hesitation.

"Keep your voice down. You're a bird—you can't speak human language." Vex, the middle one, wasn't happy about it. His tail shot straight up with a swish. "We're not birds! We're red dragons!" "How can you call yourselves dragons when you're so tiny?" I poked him with a finger, sending him tumbling. "If I say you're a bird, then you're a bird. Got it? And most importantly, you can't talk to anyone except me. If you do, they'll burn both you and me alive."

It's population is greater than their land, and the people on earth are Mortal! The first thing we saw was an enormous green tree aligning along the road with something like beetles moving in the middle of the road. "What's that, Dad?" asked Taylor " That is a car, princesse !" Since humans can not teleport or anything, mother nature gave them an Active brain like no other creature's. So they invented that Beetle and other metal birds to help them with transportation issues" I saw a pregnant woman sitting in the Balcony and asked my father for permission to see her future baby and he allowed me to do so.

Jace huffed in annoyance, probably because he missed that in his earlier search. She pulled out a small square box made of leaves. Slowly she pried it open and out fluttered a pair of wings. Seb watched in awe as the three inch wings fluttered lively in the air; their blue like glow casting an unreal gleam around the room. It was beautiful, he could only wonder what the fairy looked like who they wings belonged to. “Wow that’s amazing” Seb couldn’t shake his shocked state. He knew about vampires and witches but not any other creatures of the night.

It was about the size of a jewelry box, tied with a crimson ribbon that seemed too bright, too cheerful for the foreboding atmosphere. I approached cautiously, heart hammering. That's when I noticed a thin line of dark red liquid seeping from beneath the box and trickling slowly into the drain. Blood. My stomach clenched painfully. With trembling fingers, I reached for the box, untied the ribbon, and lifted the lid. The stench hit me first, metallic and rotten. Then I saw it. Nestled on a bed of black velvet lay a small bird. A canary. Its once-bright yellow feathers now matted with blood, its tiny head twisted at an unnatural angle.
