I forced myself to sit upright and turn to face it. The Huge figure in front of me was so terrifying that I quickly tried to move away from it but its loud growl that slightly shook the ground made me halt my movements. "I want to liv..e," I whispered in a husky cracked voice. When the beast leaned in I quickly shut my eyes. This was it, my death. It was going to cut me into pieces or slit me open. Its warm breath brushed against my cold skin making me shiver in response. I couldn't see but I had an idea what it wanted. It wanted me dead.

I shout, as my turbulent emotions take over. My mate falls back and lands on her rear end. Her breathing accelerates, and her eyes look around wildly as if expecting an attack. She begins to cry as she watches the darkness around her, and again, I become conflicted. I want her, but I can't have her. Her view of my people is no better than anyone else so she probably wouldn't want me. Who am I kidding? Of course, she wouldn't want me. I am a beast. A beast that kills monsters. A wild animal that can't be trusted.

"Ha!" exclaimed Beauty, almost angrily, "know that I would lay down my life to save his, and that this Monster, who is only one in form, has a heart so humane that he should not be persecuted for a deformity which he refrains from rendering more hideous by his actions. I closed the book and kept it on the nightstand.

Beast waved his hand in the air with an evil smirk pulled up at his lips. “ They are waiting for an attack from us! ” The Hellion gave him the information he had acquired from his people. “ We are not going to attack them now! Not until William Adams brings the real Jack Blackwell out of his hideout. ” Beast sneered hatefully, clenching the pen tightly in his hand with his knuckles turning white. His blood used to boil whenever he mentioned those two people and now he had a tiny version of William Adams roaming around him all the time which was pushing him off the edge.

His eyes are almost deadly, making me lose my equilibrium. "Please don't... You don't have to do this", my eyes pleaded. The glare from him made me shut up. After all, he's no other than Ivan King, the name of death himself. He was challenging me to say anything. I couldn't hold his deadly stare so I quickly uttered an apology and bowed down my head slightly. I can't help hating myself. I'm such a coward. I am much worse than these people. David didn't waste any seconds as he started splashing petrol all over Sasha. Sasha, on the other hand, didn't even bat her lashes. She was sitting there on the floor without any movement. It was like she had given up.

We’re lucky that The Black One is not part of the pack yet or else he would hear our conversations in the mind link. ‘We have no choice. We will carry on with the operation.’ ‘I’m scared that we won’t arrive alive. That guy has a very, very powerful wolf. The beast growled at her, and she automatically took a step backward in fear. Amarah let out a scream, immediately crouching down, raising her arms over her to protect herself, as the beast lunged at her. She felt a heavy swipe on her arm and heard another different growl. She looked up and saw another beast, this time with thick grey hair with streaks of silver and white. The grey beast lunged at the darker one, his paw swiping at it hardly. Hide! She thought she heard Matt shouting the command. She looked around to see for any signs of him but did not see him.

How can an energy beast be capable of something like this? The energy beasts walked out of the fog. They were over 2 dozen humanoid figures with blue skin, wearing black cloaks made from black unicorn skin. Again Xasha Was flabbergasted, "energy beasts wearing clothes? It was unheard of. Was it made by these energy beasts? are they intelligent enough to sew?"
