Against one wall was a massive black bed with a canopy and flowing red curtains.

They immediately ascended the stairs and entered the red room. Raja shut the door behind them, his presence oppressive as always. The red room looked more like a dungeon inside. It felt suffocating. The walls were a deep, matte red, engrossing the dim glow of a small chandelier that barely lit the space. Metal hooks and brackets lined the walls, bearing an assortment of restraints, chains, and other items that Tales couldn’t immediately identify or fathom. The air smelled of something Tales couldn’t recognize, but it irritated his nose.

It was quite typical, except that the color scheme of black and red just made it unsettling. "This is your room. You shall stay here until tomorrow. She left the room, locking the door behind her, and she closed the door so fast, it blew out a candle, making it even darker. The door to the left led to a small bathroom with a toilet, sink, and bathtub. The floor was covered in black and red tiles, the wall and ceiling being red. There was another candelabra in the corner near the tub.

Alessandro continued upstairs without another word. He pushed open a familiar heavy door and stepped inside. The Red Room. I recognized it immediately from our two nights of being here. The walls glowed deep crimson under soft lights. Various tools and equipment lined the space, cuffs, paddles, whips, ropes, and things I only ever read about in dark books. My breath caught.

I can’t focus on anything but getting her where I want her. I open the door and let Rose walk through. My bedroom is a lot like my office—blacks and reds everywhere. The carpet is a thick black shag that is soft enough to sleep on. The walls are draped in blood red fabric, and a four-poster bed is in the middle of the room, covered in the same material. Hidden in each post of the bed is a range of harnessing devices and accoutrements. Above the bed is a giant mirror surrounded by a black metallic frame. The only light in the room comes from the dimmed chandelier hanging above us. The windows on the back wall are blacked out, keeping hidden the lights from the bustling city below.

“They were alive and well when I left.” Rancid stepped over to the control center and punched a few keys on the video monitor screen. He found what he was looking for. The camera in the commons showed a picture of a handful of vampires sitting around at tables, and the floor covered in blood. Rancid moved the camera and pointed it at the pod. He could see the door was wide open and blood covered the floor all around it. “Looks like they’re dead now.” Rancid said. “Looks like it,” Bohdan replied.

She had never been inside of his room before and so she was surprised that he was suddenly interested in pulling her in. Once she was inside he heard the door slam shut behind the both of them. His room was a dark shade of gray and it seemed to be a touch bland. But she didn't have any further time to look over it when suddenly she watched as he turned his angered faze towards her as he began to breathe heavily and his eyes glowed a bright red color.
