Kennis hadn't reacted to my color the night I ran from him, although he was too focused on hunting me down. "Diara, I belong to a rare lineage of wolves known as the Dire Wolves. They are legendary and stronger than other wolves. That’s why our wolves connect so well. Because we are one of, if not the last, dire wolves in the world," she explained. The reason my wolf wasn’t as blue as hers was that my mother wasn't a dire wolf, I was of mixed lineage, while she was pure.

They prefer keeping to themselves. There, a few meters outside our cave, a tall black silhouette figure emerged, followed by six of his warriors in wolf form. Their furs are white, which is considered a rare kind. According to our history, white wolves are the best fighters and are the closest descendants of the moon goddess's sentinels. They didn't say anything and only stood there to stare at us. I am aware that the person standing in the front is their alpha. "We need to speak with your Alpha."

Emily whispered, her heart racing as she watched. On the field, three wolves fought fiercely. Elvie and Amelia were both dark brown wolves, sleek and powerful, while Natalie transformed into a lighter brown wolf. Blood stained the ground, shocking everyone who had gathered to watch. Marriott gasped, her eyes wide. "Why are they in blood? This was supposed to be a friendly match!" "They're fighting over Tom," Emily muttered, her gaze fixed on the scene below. "Natalie told them he's single now. She's trying to eliminate anyone who could be a threat to her."

“Because she belongs to both of us now. Her wolf chose this.” Dante leaned his head back against the pillows, taking a slow, deep breath of pine, cedar, and ozone—the three scents now inextricably tangled together in the room. “The Pack Council will call it an anomaly. Some of the older Betas will call it a breach of protocol.”

He loved coming to the casino, not to gamble, the supply of liquor, always managed to put a smile on his face. Wolves who had an issue with shifting or who haven’t found their mate, tended to drink. Sex wasn’t good enough for them because the only women they could fuck were humans, and their holes were too small to accommodate our fat cocks. Frustrated to the point of madness was not an understatement. No, we needed mates. For some reason their holes were bigger and could satisfy us completely. Yet, Winter never had this issue. In some ways he was the perfect one out of us three.

Just like hers—though I didn’t know who she was. Downstairs, the training yard was already alive with movement. Warriors sharpening blades, brushing pelts, preparing to impress the elders under tonight’s blood moon. I passed them quietly, head high, shoulders straight. But the whispers never stopped. Whispers from parents to children. From the young wolves to the old ones. “Do you know that the Beta was found in the snow? Like a cursed thing.” “Alpha Blaine just took her in to save face.” “How could she even become the Beta?”

’ Vuk pressed, tone clipped. “You want to discuss that here?” ‘Yes. Either that or you’re going to show her how hard she makes you.’ I glanced down at the problem pressing against my zipper. “There’s no response from the Arabs,” I muttered under my breath, dragging my mind somewhere else. “And no black wolf sightings.” Black Wolves were extinct for a reason. They were fucking brutal—beasts bred from the demon wolf line. Whoever wanted one either planned to use them as mercenaries or to bleed them dry for their power.

The wind started howling ominously through the leafless trees, shaking the snow from their branches, while the sound of hundreds of paws trudging through the forest drummed in the distance. We receded our formation from the treeline, putting distance between the Cold Creek attackers and us. We needed to bring them to the field, in the forest we would lose the light and the fight would become difficult to oversee. It didn’t take long for the forest to reveal a massive grey wolf, Alpha Markus. His eyes were bloodshot red, revealing the wicked mind that had possessed him and his wolf. He was fueled by avarice and this unrelenting need to kill, that it had become his obsession. I had never seen

I had to tell Cole. Cole was our Alpha and he would know exactly what to do with this information. What my brother and the other wolves dont know is that our pack has been under attck by witches using black magic. Dead wolves have been found around the territory with their hearts ripped out and turned to sludge. Weird symbols were carved into their bodies.

I always wondered why there are no black wolves in the modern world. More precisely, why I have not yet come across one. After all, my inner beast is a black wolf. And the answer was simple - I'm from another world, the world of magic and sorcery. Also, the gift of fire flows in my veins, and after traveling to the universe of my ancestors, I was finally able to curb it.
