Can't let that hesitation get in my way. Athena stretched her hand out towards her katana. It moved on it's own accord and rested firmly in her grip. I tried not to let my surprise show as she literally summoned the weapon to herself like it's nothing. Her glowing eyes were a telltale sign that she was still in Cara's head. Cara's eyes had the same white glow. I'm going to take Athena out first. Cara would be a piece of cake then. "Let's double up this attack, shall we?" Athena smirked. The duo charged towards me as I sank into a defensive stance, ready to take them on again.

Sienna Hart held a crystal tumbler, her posture rigid, staring down at the bench in absolute disbelief. Athena held her gaze across the expanse of the roaring arena. The chill in the air vanished, replaced by a burning, furious heat in her veins. She let a slow, chilling smile curve her lips. War was coming.

She replied vaguely. Her mouth was gaped, hands shaking slightly, failing to fathom what happened and I was not sure how to break that to her. I never wanted her to know what I prayed for her. “Athena, she is the Goddess of this land, Azure Silvia.” I told her calmly, coming closer to hold her and helped her soothe down but she didn’t let me. “What is happening? Are we going to become one? Without you apologizing for what you did too? How?” She whispered desperately, losing her breaths as her lips trembled.

I wanted her to stay and to protect her. “What have I missed exactly?” Ares broke our moment like he always does. “Uriel is Lucifer’s mate,” Athena said eloquently, taking a teacup from the cart full of food and drink. “I could see it in his eyes as soon as he saw her,” she chuckled. “I am curious to know why you didn’t tell her father though,” Athena looked at my Mother, goddess of bonding.

As his arms circled her, her aura turned white-hot, Saelari’s wings blazing gold behind Nalia’s form. Ben called out—“Chelsea!”—and Athena turned as he collided into her in a fierce embrace. They pressed their foreheads together, and her runes lit up her skin like constellations come alive. Collin arrived with his usual silence, standing beside Zethra like a sentinel reborn. His bloodied hand brushed her shoulder. “I see you,” he said. “All of you.” Zethra’s shadows lifted like veils around them, forming blades of ancient wrath, sharp enough to slice through time itself.

He knew that she was referring to Titania. Of course, Ethan knew this was one of her strategies to make him talk to her but he couldn’t help it. He was always interested when it came to Titania. “What is it? Tell me and make it fast. We are about to start our sparring session with the student hunters.” Athena’s lips curled up into a satisfied smile when Ethan let her speak. Athena immediately picked up her phone and scanned it for a few seconds. When she found the images of Titania and Dylan, she showed them to Ethan.

Athena seems to be of the opinion we’re not safe yet, so it follows me. “This baby girl is no ‘thing’, and you tried to kill her without cause or question. You are wrong on all accounts, which you would know if you had listened with an open mind, instead of acting with malice.” I say as I keep walking. “Oh, and her name is Athena and she is awfully powerful, so sorry to disappoint but we are no way near dead.” I look at Blake who has stopped fighting our ranked males, and smile.
