The Bad Gentleman
I’m not surprised when Christian pushes his chair out, reaches out, and pulls me down to his lap.
“Take it.”
I do. The blunt is fat, and I realize that though I’ve seen a couple, I’ve never held one. I put it between my index and middle fingers like I know smokers do, placing it on my lips. I’m suddenly hyperaware of how close his face is, of how easily he could close the space if he wanted to.
Christian pulls out a black lighter, positioning it right at the butt of the thing, then he lights it.
“Inhale.”
