RAGING FLAME
With every glance, the anger inside me flared hotter.
I couldn’t stand it anymore. I grabbed whatever was closest—a vase, a picture frame—and threw it across the room. The sound of glass shattering was a small relief, but it wasn’t enough. I needed more. I began tearing through the house, destroying everything in my path, breaking anything I could get my hands on. It all felt so wrong, so filthy. I couldn’t live in a place built on sin, on the suffering of others.
I was a whirlwind of rage, ripping through the rooms, when suddenly a strong hand grabbed me from behind, halting my movements. I struggled for a moment, the anger blinding me, but then I heard his voice.
