Blake used an illusion array and hid his aura; even if they stood beside him, they would never notice him. Blake’s Aunt, Clarice Elon, walked into the hall as the maid beside her held a basion of water and a rag on her arm. Blake observed them cautiously and witnessed Clarice place a few drops of a liquid into the water before allowing the maid to enter the bedroom that housed Blake’s Grandfather. Before leaving, Blake observed an evil grin on Clarice’s face as she left the area.

Confronted by a hideous lizard demon, Bain feinted left and then spun right, grabbing the thing from behind and forcing it to the edge. It was blood! “What’s happening to me!” I scream. More blood begins pouring from my eyes. Then my nose bleeds. I run the tap and splash my face with water again but more blood appears. I have made it worse. “I’m bleeding from my eyes! This isn’t normal!” I cry. Then I collapse to the floor and black out. BANG, BANG! “Killian, can you open the door!” a voice shouts from outside the door. I wake up to the voice shouting from outside the door. I climb to my feet and look in the mirror. Layla turned on the faucet to rinse a glass. When she looked down and saw the large drops of blood on her hands, she shrieked and dropped the glass into the soapy water. I took advantage of his momentary unbalance as he rubbed his eyes, knowing that I only had a second. I unscrewed the cap from the bleach bottle and threw the contents at him, causing him to scream out in pain as bleach covered his face and hair. I grabbed the broom and, finding sudden strength, rammed my foot into the wooden handle, breaking it in half.

I stepped on something wet. I froze. A cold shiver climbed my spine. “Hold on,” I whispered.
