Abbey POV I blink my eyes a couple of times when I start to regain conscience of what is happening. My head is pounding and I look around trying to figure out where I am. The light coming from the big window blinds me and I close my eyes straight away. How long have I been asleep? I open my eyes slowly and I look around.

Michael POV: I calmly finished my bottle before rising to leave. I walked out through the door and there he was standing all alone, he turned around when he heard footsteps behind him. Our eyes met I felt the sudden shift in air, the air around us was charged with tension, like the moment before a thunderstorm. Two enemies stood facing each other, each unwilling to yield. Our eyes locked in a fierce, unblinking gaze, like two predators sizing each other up before a brutal battle.

Third Person Pov Roberto slowly stirred, his senses coming back in fragments, the steady beeping of the machines around him grounding him in the reality of where he was. His eyelids fluttered open, his vision blurry in the dim light, and the weight of his body felt like it had been through a war-every inch of him ached, a dull throb that reminded him just how close he'd come to losing it all. His eyes focused on the figure beside him-Kylie, curled up in the chair, her face soft with sleep.

POV: Aria Valerian's roar shakes the hall, rattles the crystal, and makes the candle flames dance. Everything moves in slow motion and too fast simultaneously. Mira gasps and stands with her chair scraping back. Theron is on his feet with his hand reaching across the table. Bane's expression shifts, surprise flickering across his features before settling into something unreadable. The room tilts harder and spins. My throat closes and I can't breathe, can't breathe, CAN'T BREATHE.

POV: Noah I dropped to my knees in the wet dirt. My chest moved up and down fast. I tried to quiet the loud sound of my breathing. The rough bark of the old oak tree dug deep into my back. I welcomed the sharp pain. It kept me awake while my mind spun wildly out of control. Just a few feet away, the green bushes crashed open. Bright flashlights cut through the dark woods. The hot light bounced wildly off the tall trees. Find him! Elara roared. Her voice was pure poison. It had no warmth. Damn.

3rd person POV Ruth emerged from behind, shocking Vivian, her presence sudden and unsettling. Freya, still trembling with fear, kept her eyes fixed on Ruth, her gaze paralyzed with terror. A mischievous smile played on Ruth's lips, her eyes gleaming with a malevolent intensity. Without hesitation, Ruth reached out to grab Freya's arm, her intention clear, to silence Freya before she could reveal any secrets to Vivian. But Vivian was too quick, her reflexes honed from years of dealing with intense trainings from her Grandpa.

She even offered to help give my husband 'massages' at night. Their clothes were entangled on the ground as their undressed bodies moved under the covers. The atmosphere was steamy in bed. How were they not afraid? Well, it was only normal that they were not worried about anything because I was 'blind'. I opened my eyes in the dark. It felt so disgusting that I wanted to throw up, but I pinched myself to hold it back. They had no idea that I had just been joking when I claimed to be blind. They started to go about their filthy ways when they heard that I could not see.

With a gesture, the Mirror of Fate materialized. The scene played out, showing Lila trailing Rein and Calder as they left the Southern Gate, all sneaky-like. The truth hit everyone like a thunderclap, and Lila nearly collapsed, her legs turning to jelly. "Mentor Rein, I was just worried about you. That was why I followed you. You've got to believe me." Rein struggled to clear his head, his throat tightening as the image of me, barely clinging to life, flashed through his mind.
