ELLE POV As my mother's body falls to the ground in a helpless thud, the door crashes open as I pull my blade from her open gut, my eyes snapping to the intruders barging into the room. Charity going on the defensive until we see who it is and visibly relax. Theo's chest heaving up and down, my aura making the air in the room dense and nearly unmanageable the others in the room.

Third Person's POV Matthew screams when he sees the man begin to pull his arm back, knowing he's about to tear her heart out. Suddenly, there's a blinding white light. Lucian's hand is wrapped around the man's throat. He reaches back, covering Izzy's eyes as he pushes his light out and screams. Matthew watches from afar as the brightest white light flashes, causing him to stop and cover his face. When he looks back, the only thing he can see where the man was a moment ago is ashes floating to the ground.

Pulling it out, I saw it was a tiny, venomous spike. My vision swimming, I staggered back, my body growing weaker by the second. The world spun around me, and darkness encroached upon my vision. I tried to fight it, but the effort was futile. My eyes closed, and the last sensation I felt was a sense of overwhelming exhaustion. End of POV

Second Person POV You wake to the scent of pine and cold stone. Your skull throbs, a dull ache radiating from the base of your neck to your temples. The air is sharp, sterile, like the inside of a mountain cave. Your fingers twitch against smooth rock, and when you pry your eyes open, the world is a blur of flickering torchlight and shadows. *Where are they?*

Author Pov Slowly opening her swollen eyes she blinked multiple times to clear her vision. Her half-opened bloodshot eyes met with the ceiling which lightened up because of the igniting rays of the sun coming through the balcony window as it wasn’t covered with the curtain. She with her whole strength hardly sit up on the bed and held her head in pain. She couldn’t help but let out a moan of pain at how painfully her head was aching. “My God!” She whispered rubbing her temples. Even the sideways of her eyes were aching badly because of all crying.
