The coppery smell blood of the young man I had punched and pinned to the ground filled my nose. One way in, several ways out, and I chose the easiest way to get back to Rose's apartment, in her bathroom, so I could wash myself off that fucker’s blood. She might be back from her date. I could see her collected step as she walked into her bedroom and then her bathroom. She took me by surprise by showing up in here naked; it was nice to see her in her birthday suit, but it wasn't what I needed to see right now; it could spark up the portion of my brain that had her name engraved on it.

Daniel was standing in the middle of the room holding a bouquet of orange tulips and plastic black flowers. I loved the color palette he had chosen because I automatically knew what he was going for—Halloween colors. “What did I do to deserve these?” I asked as I walked over to where he was standing and took the flowers from him. My cheeks began to warm as I held the bouquet, chewing on my bottom lip. Daniel shrugged. “I owe you a lot more than flowers,” he said with a grin. “This is only the start of the surprises though. I’m taking you out of town. I think we could both use a little getaway.”

Rosaline's POV I ran the brush through my newly dyed hair , the former black roots that had been peeking out were all gone Bopping my head to ‘Soda Pop by Saja Boys’ in the movie ‘kpop demon hunters’. I left my newly cut hair to cascade all over my shoulders.

Rosa's Pov The couch caught us both when my knees buckled. Daniel's hands stayed in my hair, mine gripped the front of his shirt, and neither of us came up for air for a long time. "Rosa." His voice came out rough against my mouth. "Don't stop." "I'm not stopping."

“Recognize who?” Daniel leaned back against the chair, wincing from pain. “You really think some random hero showed up tonight?” Marco rolled his eyes. “Oh here we go.” But Daniel’s gaze stayed locked on Elena. “You didn’t see his face,” he said slowly. “But I did.” The room felt colder. Elena took a step closer. “Who was it?” Daniel smiled faintly despite the blood running down his arm. “The man you buried two years ago.” Marco scoffed immediately. “He’s delirious.”

"Then make me happy." Daniel’s hand slid under her cardigan, touching the smooth skin of Lisandra’s waist. The atmosphere around them heated up instantly, making her let out a soft moan. Daniel supported his weight with one arm to avoid pressing on his own chest, while his other hand was busy caressing the figure beneath him. The scent of vanilla mixed with roses from Lisandra's hair was intoxicating, clouding every bit of logic he had left. A few moments later, after their breathing stabilized, Lisandra leaned her head on Daniel’s shoulder. She pulled the blanket tight over her body and looked up at the handsome face beside her.

Chapter Six: LAYING LOW “I’m sorry… there are things I’m keeping from you.” Rojean said to Lucas when they got out of the car before sighing to herself. They were now walking to Lucas’ car so they could go home although Rojean seemed a little cautious of her surroundings if the others were really gone and were other people following her? Lucas could only look at her too before thinking of a question. “Who died? Why are you involved in this? Isn’t it a bit illegal? It feels illegal to me, babe.”

Bella hurriedly went out to go get what I had ordered her to do. With my hand still forcefully clutching a lock of hair, I turned her around so that I could look at her face. VANESSA.... The grip on my hair was so tight and it made me want to cry, but I had bit down hard on my lips. I cussed loudly when I bit down on the sore in my lips. I tasted my own blood.

Still slowly shaking my head back and forth in adamant denial, I said, “No…no, that can’t be right.” My absolute unwillingness to believe such a thing amused her. “It is.” She clipped another rose for Mrs. Pan. I gaped at her. “But…” Spinning wildly, I found a rose that was an exception to her rule. “There!” I pointed. “You have a black rose, right there.” Her lips tightened as she held in a smile. “Look again, Hollander.” I stormed to the rosebush in question and knelt to its level before the redness of it began to show through. “I’ll be damned,” I murmured in awe. “It’s not black; it’s just a dark, dark red.”

However, Daniel pulled the trigger at him blowing his brains off. There were screams in the room, both from Emily and the other girl on the bed as the guy fell down and his life slowly drifted away as he lay in a pool of his blood. After killing him, Daniel turned his attention back to Emily and pointed his gun at her. Tears dripped from her face as her hands shivered. She had come to believe that Daniel had a soft spot for her since, despite all the things she did to offend him, he never reacted harshly. She had become relaxed and decided that she will keep messing with him until he got tired and sent her away.
