Completely different from Logan, whose brooding presence and sharp edges seemed to dominate every space he occupied.
The girls around us murmured with envy, their eyes flickering between me and Daniel. I could feel their admiration, their unspoken wish to trade places.
“Daniel,” I said softly, walking toward him. He smiled, his expression so genuine it made my chest ache.
“For you,” he said, holding out the roses. His voice was like a balm, soothing and steady.
“Thank you,” I murmured, taking the bouquet. His timing was perfect, his presence a welcome escape from everything else.
