Markus said with a shining smile towards Charr, making him puff his chest out. “Me tell you strong make you smart!” Charr replied with a beaming smile and patting his incredibly large chest. “What is an actual meridian? Is it that golden pillar I saw that had cracks through it?” Rex quizzed. “Let me explain it this way, think of a meridian almost like a battery, varied in size between individuals and races, also varies between what type of magic arts you are attuned to, Lizz for example would have a meridian substantially larger than Nessa, yours might be even larger than mine being royal family” Markus shrugged, “the larger the meridian, the more you can use it, but also like battery, once

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

Very good world building, intriguing story, and decent characters. I'll be honest, I was just glad to find something on this app that wasn't smut. can't wait for more chapters, I've become very attached to the storyline and want to explore the world more.

Luna Rising

Luna Rising

Seren A boy screaming for his mother while his own hands strangled her. A warrior begging his body to stop as it drove a blade through his brother’s ribs. A woman watching her feet carry her forward, step after step, toward people she once called family. The pain didn’t come in waves, but all at once. It had weight, crushing me. It filled every space inside my skull until I could no longer tell where I ended and they began. Memories that weren’t mine flickered behind my eyes—pack markings, burning homes, the copper taste of blood swallowed against protest. The metallic tang of Meredith’s magic threaded through it all, sharp and rotting, binding them together like barbed wire pulled too tight

Not hollow. Carefully made. “So this is how you do it,” Selene murmured. “Not replacing me. Replacing the choice.” — Meridian sat at her station long after the scheduled briefing had ended. No one had dismissed her. No one had ordered her to stay. That absence felt heavier than command. The emotional maps before her glowed in layered colors, grief fading into muted acceptance far too efficiently. Anger never spiked. Confusion resolved into reassurance within controlled windows. “This isn’t healing,” Meridian said softly. “It’s compression.”

Blood And Water

Blood And Water

I knew for sure I was going to drown if there was no flash of miracle. What was I even thinking? Swim to town… I went down again, then came up trying to keep my stride alive. Stream water was a hydro-oxygen sodium chloride. I just kept on struggling, somewhere from a distance, I could hear Papa's voice saying “Keep on struggling son, it’s not over” his comforting words trying to erase my misery. He always had words to motivate a drained spirit. I just kept on striding though I knew that it was of no use. I went deep again my eyed closed as enveloped my ears. I gasped for breadth but caught none in return, by body shivering in response to the cold water, my eyes were becoming hazy, probably d

Yet, try as she might, they remain unintelligible—an enigma she cannot decipher. Undeterred, Selena persists, determined to uncover any clues within the journal's pages. Methodically, she scans through each entry, her eyes moving across the evolving script. As the writings transition into merscript, she slows her pace, reading each word with meticulous care. It becomes evident that the author has been documenting the merfolk as if they have never encountered Selena's kind before. A sense of foreboding creeps over her, unsettling her to the core.

Cassie The next morning I’m in the library returning a book I finished reading last night when I couldn’t sleep. The library is massive, two stories tall with built-in shelves that stretch all the way to the ceiling and one of those rolling ladders attached to a rail so you can reach the top shelves. There are reading chairs scattered throughout, deep leather things that look like they’ve been here for decades, and tall windows that let in streams of morning light. I’m tucking the book back into its spot on one of the lower shelves when I hear voices coming from deeper in the room, near the reading area by the fireplace.

Oh poor cassie, why does she have to suffer for what he brother caused, I can imagine how she feels now, the guilt, the pain of knowing she has no choice but to go for it because of her mother’s life, I can only imagine how she will feel looking at Kai’s face everyday knowing what truly happened.

Camille’s situation keeps getting heavier with every chapter. A missing fiancé, an unexpected pregnancy, and nowhere to turn. The moment Jeremy came to mind changed the whole direction of the story. Now I’m more curious about what happens when Ryan finally returns. That ending leaves plenty to think

"Please, if you can hear me—" The energy surge hit like lightning through Jay's spine. His back arched. Mouth opened in a silent scream as the meridian—finally—started to give. Not opening cleanly. Tearing. Ripping itself apart because he'd given it no choice. [PROGRESS: 47%] [CRITICAL THRESHOLD REACHED] [WARNING: MERIDIAN STRUCTURE UNSTABLE] [CONTINUE? Y/N] Jay couldn't form words. Could barely think through the agony.

Damian’s voice crawled into my head. I had been playing strong after I had shut him up, but I couldn’t bring myself to the terms that he was right. He was always right about me, about the things that were happening. The doctor withdrew his hand abruptly, staring at Merida in shock. “Her heart seems clogged. Something is interfering with her magical streams.” “You mean her blood stream?” Dennis asked. “No, her magical stream. That’s what makes her a witch; haven’t you heard of it?” Damian retorted, focusing on Merida.
