The vampires attacked them mercilessly, cutting them down and digging their fangs into the veins of innocent creatures, drawing their life force out as they drained their blood. He saw himself as he was that faithful day, centuries ago. Unable to move or fight back because of the silver in his bloodstream. And finally he saw his sister. Belinda. With a swift motion, he extracted the man's heart, feeling the warm blood trickle down his fingers. The clash between Vellu and Nero culminated in a cacophony of bloodcurdling screams emanating from the vanquished, who lay lifeless on the ground, leaving those present in a state of disbelief and horror.
