They say karma is a bitch.... but not many believe it neither did I until today, when my past is standing right in front of me laughing at my face, and even in this pin drop silence I could hear its laughter like ricochet piercing through my ears and hitting its core along with my subconscious which reminds me that I’m sitting here all by myself drenched in blood clueless and helpless, unable to process what just happened wondering what went wrong in my story for it to take such a drastic turn. It has always been a battle of bloodlines but who would’ve thought for it to turn into a literal bloodbath, with my hands covered in the only thing I was always running from.

Across every territory gathered beneath Blood Moon. And suddenly— The darkness moved. Shadow creatures flooded from the doorway. Hundreds. Then thousands. An endless tide of claws, fangs, and red eyes. The army of wolves surged forward. The valley exploded into war. "FOR BLOOD MOON!" George's roar thundered across the battlefield. The wolves answered instantly. The ground shook beneath thousands of paws. The final war had begun. George shifted mid-run. His massive black wolf tore through the first wave of shadows like a storm.

For a heartbeat, the warlord was exposed — his side bare, unguarded. Killian moved. He twisted under the strike, blade flashing upward in a brutal arc. Steel met flesh, carving deep into Varrow’s side. The warlord staggered, armour splitting, blood spraying — not red, but black and thick, like ink mixed with fire. It hit the ground and sizzled, birthing twisted forms that writhed for a moment before crumbling into ash. Varrow dropped to one knee, his laugh echoing across the wall even as blood poured from him.

Her fur silvered, her blade taller than I was, her pride older than the pack itself. She didn’t last an hour. The enemy came in waves. Endless and relentless. Soldiers wrapped in cursed ash, warlocks flanking them with fire and ice that painted the sky in screams. And beasts… gods help me, the beasts. Wolves not born of flesh, but built of bronze and bone, their howls powered by blood magic and hollow engines. One of them impaled the general through the stomach as she shielded a young soldier. I felt her death like a crack in the sky.

The sky would turn red for days, even after the war, an orgasmic reaction to its favourite dish of bloodshed." Wazir's eyes went hazy as he thought of it. Darukï was staring at him, his eyes sharp. "Then that means the grand finale is closer than ever." He took in a deep breath and looked at the sky. "It would all soon be over."

One man dropped and another went down after Sergio’s return fire snapped through the hallway like thunder. Sergio looked back at her dubiously. "How come you are so comfortable with a gun and shooting people?" he asked her. Rosy shook her head uncertainly. "I don't understand it myself. My body is just responding to a command on its own." she replied and Sergio smirked. "Surely now you believe the De Luca's blood runs through your view now." "Doesn't prove anything." she muttered focusing on gaze on the men exchanging gunfire. Blood pooled across polished floors. Priceless artworks were torn to shreds. Smoke drifted toward the high ceilings like a prayer gone unanswered.

Elian floated in the spectral haze, his essence adrift in a realm where time twisted like smoke. The battlefield sprawled before him, a nightmare etched in crimson and shadow, the air heavy with the stench of rent flesh and sulfurous decay. Screams pierced the din—warriors' guttural cries mingling with the guttural howls of the pale-skinned horrors that swarmed like locusts from the abyss. Their elongated ears quivered with sadistic delight, bald scalps slick under the storm-torn sky, and those maws... gods, those maws gaped wide, fangs gnashing through armor and bone, spraying black ichor that sizzled on the mud-churned ground.

As I fell into danger, Jake put up a fight, his limbs ripping. Despite being drenched in blood, he bolted toward me and pounded my attacker on the head. Blood spilled all over the concrete floor, either coming from Jake or the rogue. Anna let out a shriek. It was total mayhem. “Joey!” Anna shouted. Through the madness, a massive black wolf came charging from a distance with incredible speed. I knew that it was Joey, my aloof mate. It never crossed my mind that Joey had shared a mind link with Anna.
