Loathed by the Alpha

Loathed by the Alpha

“Mom, do you smell it too?” “The blood?” “Mhm, it’s getting stronger.” I whined and took a step further, only to step into something dark and wet, my entire body freezing on the spot. The bushy tail went numb as well as I drew my paws back and turned them up to my face, realising my skin had taken on a deep, burgundy colour. “Moons!” Pulling back, I quickly shifted into my human form, unable to bear the stench any longer. Wolves have a sensitive nose and pick up on smells much quicker than humans. My mother stilled next to me; her brows pushed together.

Now that’s my girl ! I know others are getting frustrated but is true if the author write more the coins will go up n people are going to complain too expensive. It might be long but she is trying to build up her character n see she don’t give a f to the alpha. Is a good book n I’m willing to wait !

Really liked this book. It shows that our own perceived ideas about what we believe, can cause us to draw the wrong conclusion. If Rose hadn't switched places, she would have lost her true mate. Aiden's past corrupt his vision of what he could've had with Rose from the beginning.

he said. I gave him a solemn look and said, "Call them and tell them that I have something important to accomplish!" I ordered. I exited the vehicle and followed them in the direction that they went. I was able to conceal both my presence and my odor so that they would not detect that I was there. I went into the forest and tracked them down by using my heightened sense of smell and hearing, which was three times more acute than that of typical werewolves.

hmmm. the story is exciting, and every chapter makes you think what will happen next. But, the update takes too long, I think, once a week? Maybe the writer update three times a week, because the plot is good as of now.

I stop reading at chapter 3 of this story. Don't get me wrong, The story was good, and every end chapter makes me think about the next chapter, but, it seems that this story is just like the other werewolf stories out there. I will wait the answer of the author before continuing reading it.

The Billionaire's Twins Play Matchmaker

The Billionaire's Twins Play Matchmaker

Cheap cologne had a heavy musky smell strong enough to cause her to choke with one sniff. Her brothers often made fun of her obsession with smells claiming she was part bloodhound. But it wasn’t as if her sense of smell was any better or worse than theirs, she just paid more attention to it because she couldn’t rely on her sight. It was the same with her hearing.

so far I'm enjoying this book very much. it has caught my attention. I'm hoping it will keep my attention. I've found that a lot of these ongoing books stop keeping my attention after while because they don't keep the story moving along they keep it like a daily journal and loose people's attention

REBORN: CLAIMED BY MY MATE’S BROTHER

REBORN: CLAIMED BY MY MATE’S BROTHER

They were massive, slab-sided beasts of muscle and chrome, designed to hunt down escapees with the relentless precision of a clockwork nightmare. I froze on a ridge. The sound was coming from the ravine, a treacherous stretch of land half a mile from the camp. "Dammit," I hissed. I told myself I was just going to check the disposal method of the human. I told myself I needed to see if she actually had any physical intel on her person before the Hounds shredded it. I lied to myself all the way to the edge of the ravine. The smell hit me first: it smelled like rotten meat, metals and a drug that I couldn’t pinpoint the smell or I was unable to pinpoint the smell cause the state The girl was in

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

"They're really fast!" "Sub-level 10," Grog shouted, leading the way. "Down! Water stops scent!" They reached a rusted iron staircase leading down into a flooded lower level. They splashed into waist-deep water. It was freezing, black, and smelled of decay. "The water won't stop them!" Jack yelled over the splashing. "They aren't tracking scent! They're tracking heat! Infrared!" He could see it now. The Hounds weren't sniffing the air; their mechanical eyes were scanning the thermal spectrum. Jack, with his feverish body temperature, was a beacon in the dark.

Bloodhound Moon

Bloodhound Moon

Each step sent a jolt of pain through my calves, like my muscles were stretching beyond what they were meant to hold. I stopped when the scent hit me. Wet earth. Pine. And something sharp and animal that made my mouth water and my stomach turn. A growl rippled through the darkness. I spun, heart slamming against my ribs. “Hello?” Stupid. Human. Weak. The growl came again, closer. Yellow eyes flickered between the trees. Then another pair. And another. Wolves. Too big. Too many. Their bodies moved wrong too fluid, too aware. I backed up slowly, my heel catching on a root. The moment I stumbled, they lunged.

The Gentle Dragon

If they need help, maybe I can help them. I carefully follow their scent and it gets stronger as I go. I smell dragon, and Lycan. One of the benefits of my DNA is the bear’s senses. Bears have one of the best senses of smell of any animal and I got that, so even though we have the dragons and Ishir who all have a fantastic sense of smell, my bear DNA combined with my Lycan and dragon DNA make me a very effective hunter. “Do you think she’s dead?” I hear one of them ask.

The Vampire King's Feeder

This is… not as awful as what I’d witnessed above me, but it is not at all what I was hoping for either. It’s the smell that hits me first. It’s hard to put one’s finger on exactly what it is. Being a wolf shifter, I have a more sensitive nose than most creatures. I can distinguish thousands of different aromas from one another and smell as much as a drop of blood from over twenty miles away.

THE MINIATURE WOLF

THE MINIATURE WOLF

She asked, blushing slightly. "Part of it is hyperosmia. That's an extremely acute sense of smell that both my dad and I have. It's like being a bloodhound. Seriously, I can tell what someone ate by how their breath smells. They haven't decided for sure if it's passed on genetically, but Dad's father and grandfather both had it. Imagine dad growing up in the forest, then going to a village and talking about smelling a deer, or where different animals had marked territory. Guess what they called him in the villages." I was grateful for mom's research. Hyperosmia accounted for our werewolf sense of smell, and opened the door for a discussion later about why I really had my sense of smell. I mo

On weekend walks through the park I always slow down when a hound is nearby — their noses are like living weather stations. What makes hounds excel at scent tracking is a mix of anatomy, breeding, and behavior. Anatomically, they have massively convoluted nasal turbinates that increase surface area, a wet nose that helps dissolve odor molecules, and up to hundreds of millions of olfactory receptors (far more than humans), plus an oversized olfactory bulb in the brain to process all that information. Those long, drooping ears and loose facial skin aren’t just a look: they funnel and trap scent particles, helping create a richer scent picture.

Beyond the hardware, generations of selective breeding gave hounds an irresistible drive to follow scent trails. They sniff in bursts, sampling and comparing subtly different scent concentrations (stereo-smelling with each nostril), and they’re conditioned to keep working even when the trail gets thin. Training that taps into play and reward—hiding toys, scent discrimination games, or progressive trailing exercises—helps sharpen natural instincts. Watching a bloodhound trailing an old route is like watching patience and biology team up, and if you ever get the chance, a demo or a simple nose-work class will show you exactly why hounds are magical at this.
