Blurry Vision When Waking Up Novels & Stories

CALI I woke up with my eyes blurred at first, there was nothing but a haze of light and shadow. Slowly, painfully, my eyelids fluttered open fully. A sharp ray of sunlight pierced straight through the window and straight into my skull. I groaned. I was sure I had never opened my window this wide. I hated too much light in the morning.

he said as he got out his tools and came to examine my eyes. "Your eyes seem okay, and you seem to be improving faster," the doctor observed. "Thank you, Doctor," my grey eyes beamed with intensity. "Are you experiencing any difficulties?" the doctor asked. "Ehm, just that my vision gets blurry with the glasses on... Yes, like I feel I'm going blind from the glasses," I added. "Oh, sorry about that," the doctor stated. "I think I will prescribe you new glasses to help with that. And please stay off them as often as possible, so it wouldn't damage your already-made progress."

Which is insane because almost everyone back at home complains my screen isn’t bright enough. It was then it dawned on me that I was coming down with a fever. Hot water leaked from my eyes, making my vision misty and a bit blurry. Recalling the event of yesterday, from being under the shower for several minutes, sitting in wet clothes for yet another. Everything starts to make sense. I sink back into the covers, closing my eyes and rubbing my palms together. I sat up a second later, looking around for my phone, only to realize I have it beside me the entire time.

I mumble, woozy with exhaustion. My eyes shoot open and my body goes taut, shooting to sit up in bed. I grip my hands over my eyes, seeing the world spin, everything about my vision blotted and blurry with exhaustion and confusion. The only thing I can pinpoint is Xander is no longer in my head.

My breathing was slow but rasps. My body strolled back to consciousness. My eyes felt very thick as if an extra weight laid on them. Each motion I made to open my eyes, my eyelids felt like they were tearing them off but I managed to open them and then came another challenge-my vision was slurry. Unclear as my sight was, nothing felt recognizable.

I felt dizzy and I was having a headache, I don’t know if it was because I didn’t eat breakfast in the morning. I palmed my forehead and wet my lips with my tongue and was going back to the house, my steps were slow and I couldn’t see clearly because my sight was getting blurry. I held onto the wall for support and shut my eyes for a brief moment. What was happening? I opened them, and I could barely see who or what was in front of me. I slumped on the ground with my hands falling to my side. “Sera!”

Kristy POV. I wake up with a massive headache. I rub my hand across my forehead as if with will ease my pain. My vision is blurred. I blink my eyes trying to get my vision sharp again. When I finally can see where I am, I realize that I am in my old room. How did I get here?

I yelled, but as he was about to hold my arms again, my vision suddenly started to become blurry and my head couldn't stop spinning. I was losing my mind and in no time, everything turned blank. ****** My eyes fluttered as the rays of the light shone on my face. I tried to get up, but the heavy ache in my head forced me to lie back on the bed. I shut my eyes tight as I was trying to remember what had happened before. I suddenly remembered everything and my body abruptly stood up, like it wasn't just having a headache some while ago. "You're awake!" The cold voice softly rang across my room, making me flinch at the sound of it.

Blur. The lines in front of him are completely blurry. He silently tries to read the letters on the page but it’s nearly impossible. Ryder sighs and puts on a pair of glasses. His vision is slightly clearer but he still can’t read too well. For the past few days, his vision keeps on switching between blurry and clear. Sometimes, he can see well. Sometimes, he can’t see beyond a few feet. He leans back against the leather chair and stares outside the window. It’s a clear night sky. The distant stars are almost negligible to him. He doesn’t react but simply stares into the distance, wondering how long he has.

My vision blurs, the edges of everything smudging together, but then it sharpens again. I just need a minute. Just one. I let myself sink down, my back sliding against the rough bark of a tree. Just for a minute. That’s all I need. A second to breathe, to pull myself together. The moment I sit, my muscles scream in relief, but the ache in my body only gets worse. My head feels too heavy for my shoulders. I blink hard, trying to keep my eyes open, but they keep slipping shut. I force them open again, my vision swimming. My fingers dig weakly into the dirt beside me, like holding on to something solid will keep me awake. It doesn’t.
