Blurry Vision When Waking Up Novels & Stories

When I open my eyes I feel like I have woken up from a deep sleep. My vision is still blurry, and I have to blink my eyes a few times to make out my surroundings. I see blurred figures running about as my sense of sight is starting to return. The ringing in my ears slowly subsiding as well once I am able to get my bearings back. The first thing that I see is my mother, who is firmly holding my hand and yelling something at me, “-phy, she’s awake. Call Sylphy!”

Brightness. Brightness penetrated into my eyes and forced me to open them when I really didn't want to wake up, I felt like sleeping more. I had to blink several times and rubbed my eyes with the back of my palm before I could see anything clearly. I didn't want to wake up and I wouldn't have woken up if not of the light that poked my eyes like I was being stung by an insect.

Something inside me strained toward the answer, grasping for the missing piece of the puzzle— And just before it clicked, the vision shattered. I could feel myself being violently pulled away from the scene. The images blurred out of focus, and a blinding white light flooded my vision. As quickly and painfully as the memory had arrived, it vanished in a flash. And so did I. When my eyes finally snapped open, the ceiling above me was entirely strange. My head throbbed with a vicious ache, as if I had been struck by a rock. My sight was blurry, my mind completely disoriented, left alone in the quiet aftermath of a memory that wasn't mine.

I tried to turn to the direction of her voice but my neck felt stalked like something was holding it back. “Mom?” I called her, lifting my hand. She took it and appeared in my line of vision but her figure was a little blurry. My vision has been better these days. Why is it blurry again? “Baby” she sounds like she is crying, “I’m sorry I couldn't be there,” “Why can't I see you clearly?” I questioned, “Your vision got blurry again because of…an accident” My mom said, “But don't worry, It will get back to normal in a few days.”

SARAH I woke up with a jolt, my head pounding like a drum. The sharp pain was unbearable, and my vision was blurry. I tried to blink it away, but everything still seemed off, like I was seeing through a fog. I felt nauseous, my stomach churning in waves that made me want to throw up.

She most likely regained a fragment of her memory that triggered her eyesight, but I'm not telling her this.“ You had a visual Remission, and in a few days, you should get your sight back.”

~CLAIRE~ A persistent beeping sound roused me awake. I slowly opened my eyes. Everything was blurry, a mix of colours. It took me a moment to realize I didn't have my glasses on. I tried to sit up, but my head ached terribly. I groaned, turning away from the harsh light shining through the window. Where was I? A door opened suddenly and I jerked upright. My head protested, aching badly. Someone stepped into the room and I squinted hard, trying to make out the blurry face.

This was my first time. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My husband's white shirt. My black pencil skirt. My husband's gray tie. I let my hair down, slightly wavy at the ends. My face was bare, but I put on a little red lipstick so I wouldn't look pale. Then I took my glasses from the bedside table.
