The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

"Quick! Do a quick search! I want to know who had hurt my Howling Celestial Dog." He was furious when he smelled the scent of chili powder on the Howling Celestial Dog. Even though the Howling Celestial Dog was not a godly beast, it was an enchanted dog. It had been with him for thousands of years; it was always brave and had never let him down. Yang Jian could not bear it when he saw his loyal dog harmed by mere chili powder. As the saying went—watch out for its owner when you hit a dog. Yang Jian felt he was humiliated that someone had dared to hurt his dog.

Stone Born

Stone Born

There were all kinds of animals I had never seen before. Our cart was being pulled by what looked like a unicorn, but I wasn’t sure. There were giant wildcats with horns, flying creatures that looked almost human. There were big, beautiful flowers blooming, even in the snow. “Urus is the closest town to the ancient capital and castle. I will take you there. In town, you can find someone that will take you to the ancient castle, but it won’t be free. Not everyone here is as kind as I am. If you find yourself back at the old castle, and you’re in need of work, I can always use a pretty little thing like you.” She cackled, and elbowed my in the ribs.

ALHPA ABRAM: And the four daughter

ALHPA ABRAM: And the four daughter

"A name. Not yours. Not his. The name of the stray dog that used to sleep under the porch of the old bakery. The one with the notched ear." "You’ve got to be kidding me," Elara hissed. She scrambled into the vent, the cold metal biting into her knees as she crawled into the dark. "People are dying upstairs, and you want to talk about a fucking dog?" "The name, Elara. Or the door stays locked." "Bones. Its name was Bones. John used to steal scraps of bacon from the kitchen to feed it." The line went silent for three agonizing seconds. Then, a low, distorted chuckle crackled through the speaker. "Correct. Proceed to the junction. And Elara? Watch your back. The King isn't the only one hunting

The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

POV: Barzil A column of pale, dust-covered figures marched against a fortress of iron. From the ridges of the Bone Wastes, we were a line of steel and grit extending three miles. The white sand shifted under fifteen thousand pairs of boots, creating a low-frequency rumble that traveled through the bedrock and into my marrow.

Abandoned On the Highway for a Dog

Abandoned On the Highway for a Dog

Then I picked a piece of meat from my bowl, fed it to the little black dog lying obediently at my feet, and muttered to myself, “You’re way cuter than her.” Sometimes animals could be more loyal than people. All it took was one piece of meat, and it would treat you as its owner. It would be loyal to the end, never betraying you. Unlike Yvonne, who was never satisfied. She always wanted everything. That was why I was determined that she would end up with nothing. As the countdown to midnight began, fireworks exploded one after another outside the window. I scrolled through the New Year’s greetings on my phone when I happened across a post from Evan’s on social media.

My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian

My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian

"Of course I do. My ribs hurt for a week." "You were so small," he mused. "You were standing there with one shoe off, staring at that dog like you were waiting for it to give you directions." I remembered the smell of the dog. It was a heavy, sour reek—not like a wolf, but like something that was rotting while it was still alive. White foam had been dripping from its jaw, bubbling on the cobblestones. I’d been cornered. I’d lost my slipper in the mud two blocks back, and my bare foot was freezing. I had begged the dog to spare me, but it was too crazed to understand basic communication.

The Game of Breaking Bones

The Game of Breaking Bones

He had crafted a three-year game of breaking bones and breaking hearts -- and in the end, the one whose pride was shattered, whose dignity was ground to dust, was himself. "Miss Holloway, it's cold out here. Please, get in the car." Pemberton held the door open for me with quiet deference. I pulled my gaze away. I didn't spare the dark shape at the end of the street another glance. I ducked into the warm, luxurious cabin. The door shut with a heavy thud. The black motorcade rolled over the fresh snow and carried on toward the gleaming heart of the city, leaving behind forever the legless beggar sobbing in the drifts.

Alphas Feral Little Mate

Alphas Feral Little Mate

However, his hand remains persistent, tracing my movements with unwavering determination. At that very moment, the puppies seemed to catch a whiff of his scent, or perhaps they sensed his presence near me, as they emitted soft growls before retreating and curiously sniffing his hand. Their inquisitive nature led them to give it a playful nip, which made him hiss in response, but he remained still. This amusing sight caused Beast and Bones to burst into laughter, remarking, “Oh, it seems like they're attempting to protect her.”

Heart of the Bayou Beasts

Boo went to launch herself off the dock and onto the intruding boat but I gripped her collar. “Careful neighbor or our new pet might eat you," I taunted as he eyed the dog wearily. “Nothing I can't dispose of if needed,” he snipped tersely. “Touch my dog and die,” Bri announced ethereal flames dancing across her fingertips and eyes glowing with deadly promise. “Seems you've acquired a few new pets," Landry said, his hazel gaze settling on Bri and the rooster that strutted across the porch.
