Reborn to Defy Fate

Reborn to Defy Fate

My steps slowed as the realization hollowed my chest. He hadn’t just killed me. He had kept parts of me. The path led upward, winding toward a towering shape in the distance. As I climbed, the structure became clearer, each step revealing more of its grotesque grandeur. A fortress. Built entirely from bones. Columns of fused vertebrae. Walls layered with ribs like macabre bricks. Towers crowned with skulls carved with runes older than the gods I prayed to. At the center rose a throne. It was massive, jagged and unmistakable.

The Fated Queen

The Fated Queen

Slow at first, before they bloomed everywhere the sun touched. "It will hurt, but only for a moment." He said. There was a shift in her hand where the energy first touched. The bones re-aligning. Denser. Stronger. She gritted her teeth against the pain. More bones slid in and out of place. Her muscles contorted. A deep, aching pain throbbed through her entire being. Her legs gave out beneath her as her feet and calves readjusted. She hunched on all fours. Inhaled deeply while she whimpered from the pain. He said it was only for a moment, but it felt like an eternity.

Marked (Mortal, Book Four)

Marked (Mortal, Book Four)

I'm spinning, spinning faster and faster. Finally, a burst of light overwhelms me, and I land on a soft surface. I open my eyes and take in my surroundings. I'm in a room with stone walls. The ceiling is high, and there are torches hanging from it. The flickering flames cast eerie shadows across the room, and on the other side of the room is a wooden door. I get up, my muscles aching from the fall, and survey my environment. Besides the torches, there is nothing in the room. No furniture, no windows. Nothing that suggests this place is anything but a prison.

The Hidden Chip in the Martyr's Bones

The Hidden Chip in the Martyr's Bones

My body had never been cremated. The excavation workers, afraid of taking responsibility, secretly reported it to the police. That unintentional act became my greatest stroke of luck. When the forensic pathologist cut open my body, everyone gasped in shock— Sealed in cement, my corpse had been preserved, delaying decomposition. Though the skin had decayed, the muscles and bones remained intact. But almost all my blood had been drained. My body was so emaciated it was barely human, and even the bone marrow bore repeated puncture marks…

His Hired Lover

His Hired Lover

But I kept running until I fully reached the exit. My jaw dropped to the floor as I stepped into what looked like another courtyard. But the horrors lay on the ground, littered with pale, weathered bones. The moonlight had even made them look luminous. I crouched and touched one of the bones, and I was sure it was a human bone. There were skulls cracked open like eggshells. Ribs poking through the dirt like brittle fence posts. My stomach tightened as I felt bile rising to the back of my throat.

My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian

My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian

Jace "Give me a moment." I turned the pages slower now, and I couldn’t find anything in a straight line. The thing wouldn't let me. Every page I turned had me on a different study of it, and each one stopped me before I could get past it. The figure from the back, the long muscles of it laid in like rope under the skin. The skull alone, big as a horse's and shaped like nothing that grazes. A hand again, opened flat, the claw at each fingertip drawn from three sides so you couldn't tell yourself you'd misread it.

The Runaway Luna's Daughter

The Runaway Luna's Daughter

My eyes widened. The skull I had moved away from lay vibrating like a pulse of energy. I caught another movement through the corner of my eyes. I peered through the semidarkness. A bony hand rid of flesh poked out of the ground like the devil's spawn. My breath caught in my throat. I saw it pulse, vibrating as it shot towards the skull. Another bone snapped towards it, another then another and right before me, formed a full skeleton. My head swooned. What the hell was happening?

Doctor, I'm Too Sensitive!

Doctor, I'm Too Sensitive!

This made Lily want to use her greasy hands to smear Bianca's face, and the two girls rolled around chattering and laughing. Lucas proudly said, "This is the cleanest bone I've ever gnawed in my life!" As he spoke, he held up the "dog-irritating" bone to admire it. Bianca snatched the bone away and said seriously, "This is the radius bone, its structure and organizational characteristics make it the most prone to comminuted fractures, like this--" Then Bianca bit the bone and crushed it, then spat out the bone fragments from her mouth, displaying a somewhat bold and heroic demeanour.

Whispers of Sikar

Whispers of Sikar

Adea groaned as her body was battered by the fall. That was when she registered the pain in her ankle, which shot up her leg when she tried to move. She must have sprained it in the fall. She then remembered the cracking sounds and realized that she was lying on top of a nest of something small, narrow and hard. Adea reached underneath her to grab one of the objects. It was almost too dark to see anything, but there was no mistaking the rock-like texture of a bone. She was lying in the rotting remains of a Human skeleton.

Loathed by the Alpha

Loathed by the Alpha

His bones cracked, and I inhaled sharply; my eyes widened while he managed to squirm in my hold, frightened by the sound. Reece twisted his head and, with force, pushed forward, striking me on the nose, making me yelp and shake my head as I backed away. The beta hit the dirt a moment later, whining as he hit his newly cracked shoulder. His bones appeared ragged and uneven underneath, shifting unnaturally as he tried to the right himself.

Now that’s my girl ! I know others are getting frustrated but is true if the author write more the coins will go up n people are going to complain too expensive. It might be long but she is trying to build up her character n see she don’t give a f to the alpha. Is a good book n I’m willing to wait !

Really liked this book. It shows that our own perceived ideas about what we believe, can cause us to draw the wrong conclusion. If Rose hadn't switched places, she would have lost her true mate. Aiden's past corrupt his vision of what he could've had with Rose from the beginning.
