Chimba said but Bozo was not paying attention. His gaze was fixed on the horizon, even though the burning buildings obscure his vision, he could almost see the village of Umudike, trembling with fear at his anger. “We ride to Umudike,” Bozo shouted and clenched his sword tightly, “Kill, destroy, level to dust anything that stands in our way. Spare on one, but the king and his family. I would kill them myself, I would wipe their name from the slate of history, and generations to come would only use their name as a swear word.”

The Test That Kills

The Test That Kills

What kind of sweet romance is this? Looking at the criticisms, I smiled widely. Under the murderous gaze of the invigilator, I walked over to Timothy and said, "Your parents died in the hands of Rachel's family. Don't you want revenge?" Looking at Timothy's conflicted gaze, I urged him further by whispering in his ear. "Don't you want to avenge your parents? Or did you think that your grandmother would be able to come out of the drug trial alive?" Then, I pointed to the poison-laced test papers.

Broken for a Pretty Boy, and Now They Kneel

Broken for a Pretty Boy, and Now They Kneel

Whitney gritted her teeth and yanked backward hard. I clearly heard the sound of my bones snapping. The pain ripped through my entire body. My vision went dark. Cold sweat soaked through my back, and I nearly passed out on the spot. Before I could even catch my breath, Kelly picked up a wooden bat from the corner. She raised it high and brought it down hard on my right hand. The bat even snapped from the force, and at the same time, an agonizing pain shot up from my right wrist.

The Alpha's Chosen One

The Alpha's Chosen One

-Your stalker is your mate," Booke said with a mischievous smile. -Sadly, yes. -He followed Booke's footsteps to the bathroom. -I swear to God I'll kill Nathan. -He took some pills and then went to the bedside table where there was a pitcher of water. -Don't fuck with me, you'll kill him and then you'll be crying like a little girl for Nathan; you'll be like this: "Nathan, why did you go away and leave me. I love you, take me with you, please, my love" - she imitated Booke's voice and Booke glared at her.

CALL BOY, BIG TROUBLE

CALL BOY, BIG TROUBLE

The leader commanded pointing a gun at me as i slowly crawled out. They kicked my phone far away and pressed a knife against my neck. “Please please don't kill me” i begged fearfully. The leader smirked and looked at me lustfully. “You don't look so bad” he drawled, tracing the tip of his gun between my breasts. I shivered in fright closing my eyes. Suddenly, the door bursted open a large group of musculine men rushed in. “Paul.?”

A Night In Daddy's Bed

A Night In Daddy's Bed

He never looked away. And when it came to the final moment, when he had the chance to kill me, Bobby hadn’t been able to do it. He couldn’t cross that line because he had never crossed it before. Bobby planned. D.J. executed. He was older. Harder. More practised. More ruthless. I bent double beside a rubbish bin and vomited, then kept running. The off-licence blurred past, then the betting shop, the pizzeria, discount store, pawnbroker, bakery and the Rag and Firkin pub.

Blood, Gold, and Silver

Blood, Gold, and Silver

Pulling out the knife, blood now pooling down onto my face, I hid it in his own clothes before taking a deep breath and screaming at the top of my lungs. “Help me, please,” I cried out. “Shadow just killed Boon. He was here, and just ran into the kitchen. We have to go before he kills us all.” The others, who had been distracted by two of their members burning to death, cursed and ran over to haul Boon off of me. Once his weight was removed, I stood on shaky legs and rushed to a pitcher of water nearby to try and clean off the blood. Acting just as terrified as anyone in my situation should be.

GOODBOY

GOODBOY

He said it in an extremely serious tone. "O-kay Dad!" I said but inside my mind, I already said a few cusses. I knew what Dad is going to say and I can no longer reason a way out of it. *** Black's POV "Black I'm so dead! I can't escape anymore!!!!!" Mich complained. She is here in my room this early morning just to complain. "What happened?" I asked confusedly because I haven't heard any explanation since she came in, she just rants and voices out how her life is doomed.

MY REBOUND MEN

MY REBOUND MEN

"Next time this happens you dial 911 and tell them someone's trying to kill you, got it?" "Okay. Okay. I get it. But can you put me down now please?" I tapped his back and he stopped walking. Boo put me down so suddenly that when my feet touched the ground, everything started spinning. "Whoa." Boo caught me and I hugged him. I didn't mean to but I buried my face on his chest and cried. Reality finally caught up to me. It was horrifying and it hurt like hell.

I am no native English speaker so I find the narration and execution of the story great and understandable. Plus, the name of one of the male leads(Boo) is rather different from the usual names of male leads so, for sure, it will be a memorable name for readers.

This is the 2nd time I’m re-reading this book. It’s well-written, has fleshed out characters that I can relate to and plenty of fun and steamy scenes without being tacky or overkill. The author has written a great plot. This is one of the best stories here about finding love again!

Killing booth

Killing booth

Walking down the streets, I could remember the ordeal that took place today. The Principal reassured us that Mr. Beck was gonna be fine without doubt as he was receiving treatment for the hay fever he was diagnosed with. I knew it wasn't true but who would I have told? Besides, there was nothing I could do. I skipped the rest of my classes just so I wouldn't be reminded of the guilt I'd been feeling.
