Street Diaries

Street Diaries

But the Kabal seemed unbothered, not even a word until I called to meet, something was definitely up, and they knew about it. The night was heavy with anticipation as my brothers and I stepped out of our jeep and walked down the dimly lit alleyway of Aljuree Avenue towards the secret meeting place of the Kabal. Our footsteps echoed off the cobblestone pavement, drowning out the distant sounds of the city. A chilling wind howled through the narrow passage, sending shivers down my spine.

Trapped As The Billionaire’s Surrogate

Trapped As The Billionaire’s Surrogate

FAITH The alley was dark and narrow, shadows dancing along the cracked brick walls. Trash littered the ground—crumpled newspapers, empty bottles, and cigarette butts scattered like forgotten memories. A damp, musty scent hung in the air, mixed with the faint, nauseating stench of rotting garbage. The buildings on either side were old and crumbling, their facades smeared with graffiti, their windows shattered and boarded up. I could hear faint whispers echoing from somewhere, voices muffled by the thick walls, fading in and out like ghosts haunting the ruins.

The Valisteen Princess

The Valisteen Princess

I murmured, though every second felt like an eternity. The passage led to a side alley that opened up near the docks—a perfect spot to intercept Celeste before she could vanish into the maze. Emerging from the passage, we found ourselves at a crossroads of shadows and harsh light. The docks were spread out before us like an industrial battlefield: towering cranes, rusted cargo containers, and winding pathways that formed a network of escape routes for the desperate. I signaled for silence, and for a moment, everything was eerily still. Then, the enemy burst in from the sides.

IN LOVE WITH MY BILLIONAIRE BOSS(He Is Betrothed, But Mine!)

IN LOVE WITH MY BILLIONAIRE BOSS(He Is Betrothed, But Mine!)

A deal with the devil Alicia's POV The heels of my designer stilettos clicked sharply against the cold pavement, echoing in the quiet alleyway as I approached the lit café. This was far from my usual scene, but some things had to be done in the shadows, away from Leonardo's watchful eyes. I hated the stench of these backstreets. The grease from a nearby diner mingled with the sour odor of garbage, making my nose wrinkle in disgust.

Pathetically Beautiful

Pathetically Beautiful

I walked into the dimly lit, graffiti-covered alleyway, my heartbeat syncing with the distant rumble of passing cars. The air was thick with the smell of rain and gasoline, filling my lungs with every shaky breath. Shadows stretched long and distorted as if they were playing tricks on me, mocking my presence. I pushed forward, needing this meeting with Dillon to go smoothly, desperate to seize any form of control.

Accidental Billionaire Love

Accidental Billionaire Love

It was a section of the library dedicated entirely to novels, a vast treasure trove of fiction from around the world. Ashley's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she took in the towering shelves, each one packed with row upon row of novels. The smell of old leather-bound books mixed with the faint scent of the underground air, creating a unique atmosphere that felt like a secret garden of stories waiting to be explored.

The Trap Of Ace

The Trap Of Ace

Turning to another turn, I took the car through an almost empty street, my gaze continued their connection with the GPS tracker of my phone. I'd never heard of that bar's name before, and after tracing Beth's phone, I found it was at Northern Avenue. The street infamous for old buildings, illegal casinos, small cafes and bars. And most importantly, hundreds of alleys. I'd no idea what the hell she was doing here at nine of the night! And seeing the eerie silence around, I felt people of this area called it a night much earlier than others.

This book needs some SERIOUS editing. The grammatical errors are horrendous. We get that English might not be the authors first language but if you still insist on writing it in English at least get it proof read and edited. The app needs to help their authors with that.

Wait for Me in the Alley

Wait for Me in the Alley

The days that followed, I went to that alley every single day. The alley looked just like it had years ago. The graffiti on the walls had changed a few times, but the streetlamp was still the same dim yellow. I'd sit on the steps beneath it, hugging my knees, waiting from dusk till dark—watching silhouettes come and go at the mouth of the alley, shadows stretching long and then shrinking short.

The Witch Doctor, Hellblades Series Part 1 of 3

The Witch Doctor, Hellblades Series Part 1 of 3

“We got it, Uncle. We’ll call if we see anything suspicious.” Eren gave us both a tight smile, then turned, the twins trailing after him with far too much swagger for boys carrying nothing but bottled water and bravado. I blew out a slow breath. “North it is, then.” The alleys leading up into town wound like veins, all uneven cobblestone and ancient stone houses with carved windows. Every step seemed uphill. The heat shimmered, making the air itself look like it might melt. My shirt clung worse than before. “Water,” Pelin said, tugging hers free from her bag.

MEND ME IF YOU CAN.

MEND ME IF YOU CAN.

The alley was a battlefield, carved in shadow and storm. Rain poured in relentless sheets, drumming against the rooftops and coursing through the gutters until the cobblestones ran slick with crimson. Every step was treacherous, every breath thick with the metallic bite of blood. Men shouted over the roar of the storm, blades clashed with steel, and gunfire ripped through the night like thunder splitting the sky. For a moment, it felt endless—chaos layered upon chaos, a maelstrom with no escape. But then, little by little, the storm within the alley began to turn.
