She asked back as she took something from her bag. “Here. Another reading.” She said as she gave L a book on Chemistry. L blinked. “You expect me to read this?” He asked as if telling her that there is no way he will read that book ever. Patrice shrugged. “I don’t know. I am not expecting you to eat it though.” She spat making L start to get pissed now. “Read that. That will be our lesson later.” She said as she read the same Chemistry book she gave to him.

Cindy took out a book from her shelf and began to read in an effort to keep herself busy and forget about her problems. Her phone suddenly beeped from a text message she received. She initially thought it was Jack because each time he called repeatedly and she ignored, he would send her a text message. She was surprised when she saw that it was a message from a strange number. She opened the text message and it read, "your boyfriend Jack is having sex with his supposed best friend at her place."

Ivana looked at me and for a moment I paused, I felt so nervous like I was about confessing to my crush in high school. Ivana could sense this so she walked over to me and held my hands as she said softly. “I think you should go talk to her, she loves you.” I gazed into her eyes and could see the sincerity in them so I took off my apron and walked out of the kitchen heading over to the sitting room and there I spotted my mother who was taking off her shoes and still looking so sad.

Love is a game– not the inside or interior kind like: chess, checkers or minesweeper, no, it's the exterior, outdoorsy one like: football, soccer, and tennis. It is also like a door. You never know what you're getting into as you open the door, you never know what's on the other side. That's what love is.

My first day at work was almost going to be a disaster because Ric showed up, so I was hopeful that my second day will be peaceful, maybe then I can get to be alone with Jake in his office, probably use giving a financial report as an excuse. I couldn't see what he was reading clearly but I was sure it was a report from one of employees.
