The Moon's Descendant

The Moon's Descendant

I shouted. The coffee table in front of my feet began to slowly lift off the ground and the bookshelves started to shake. “Stand up! Stop doing that, both of you please get up” I sobbed. My body felt heavy, like every inch of my small frame was being pulled to the ground. I could feel my chest tightening as a dull ache ran through my arms. I don’t understand what is happening. The shelves on the bookshelves snapped in half sending all the books falling to the ground. They all hit the floor with a collective thud and then began to float around the room. I felt a weightlessness in my head and an electric energy circle around me. Roe and Lupus got up and stood by Artemis, Gunner was now standin

The story is really good! The writer seemed to be learning how to tell the story from two perspectives. At first the author rewrote whole scenes but listened to readers and adapted it a little better. Still some time jump with perspective changes. Zelena has so many powers it seems a lil contrived.

This book was so well written! it caught my attention from the start and kept me hooked continuously! Some parts got confusing during the 2 POVs when something happened in 1 but not the other. If this was published on paper I'd buy it. What a fantastic read ! well done ! Im off to read part 2 ☺️

Rise After the Fall

Rise After the Fall

Just one sentence: [Due to personal reasons, I hereby request to resign effective immediately. Then I opened an encrypted folder on my computer. After entering the password, an eighty-page document unfolded on the screen. [Core Client Relationship Maintenance Manual.] Every single word in it had been earned over the past eight years through countless sleepless nights, endless travel, and drinking sessions that had nearly ruined my stomach. It wasn’t just simple contact numbers or contracts. It recorded things like which executives disliked each other, whose son wanted to get into which elementary school, and what specific detail would make someone finally give in at the last moment of a nego

and various ways the North used to purge witchcraft. Sheesh. What was up with these people? I sighed, shifting my weight on the narrow wooden rung, and reached blindly to my left to grab a particularly thick leather volume at the very edge of the shelf. It was a massive miscalculation. The book was heavier than it looked. As my fingers clamped around the spine, the weight of it pulled my center of gravity entirely off balance. The ladder gave a sharp crack, sliding away from the stone wall. The leather book slipped from my fingers, and suddenly, I was in freefall, tumbling backward from a six-foot drop.

When the moon fell

When the moon fell

She crawled toward the dim light ahead until the vent finally opened near the outer edge of the tower. Nova stayed perfectly still for a moment. Listening. No footsteps. No voices. No movement nearby. Good. Carefully, she reached forward and began prying the vent cover loose inch by inch. The metal creaked softly. Nova froze instantly. Silence. Nothing. Slowly she pushed harder until the grate finally popped free into her hands. Cold night air rushed over her immediately. Freedom. Nova carefully pulled herself out onto a narrow steel platform running along the outside of the tower. She crouched low beside the wall, breathing hard.

Falling for the Alpha

Falling for the Alpha

I smiled and hurriedly walked up to her but as promised, I didn't touch her. " What book are you reading ?" I asked. She remained mute, instead, showed me the book titled " The Werewolf History " it read. I was surprised that she was into stuff like that, even as a werewolf, books like that bore me to my bones. One would be considered insane if such a book catches his or her interest. " Now that you are here, I want to hear it from your mouth since you are a werewolf and would probably know stuff like this. I don't understand what this book is saying " she said, of course, she wouldn't.

Falling Just as Hard

Falling Just as Hard

First I wobble on my feet when I try to reach higher and grab the tampon which of course makes me lose balance, I try to keep myself from falling by holding onto the woman’s shoulders but that is an even more terrible idea because she obviously hates me and wants me off her body as soon as possible. I know this because she pushes my hand away which has me reeling back. But I’m not one to give up so easily so I grab her shirt and we both tumble down to the ground. It would have been fine if our encounter ended her but of course not, I don’t have such good luck. The woman had unfortunately tried to grab the shelf to avoid falling down but like me she had failed and only sent all the tampons on

The Fallacy of Love

The Fallacy of Love

Blake ordered. Ella walked to the bathroom with trembling legs and turned on the hot water. Only then did she allow tears to fall from her eyes. She sobbed silently as she wondered how a pleasant morning had turned into such a nightmare. She had never seen this monstrous side of Blake and she was terrified of him. If she hadn’t signed a contract with him then she would have been on the next flight as far away from him as possible. Ella quickly ended her shower and she dried her face as she thought of the guilt she had felt while talking with the stranger from the coffee shop.

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

I’m dropped flat on my back, my body crunching against books and shelving. My world blurs as my head bounces against the hard, stone ground. All around me, books are falling from the shelves. Paper dances through the air, drifting like feathers. I can’t tell if the metallic taste in my mouth is magic–or blood. I go still for the first time, the pain too overwhelming to move, let alone think past.

is someone stealing your books. I red a story almost identical to this a few weeks ago but I can't remember the name of it. The girl was running from a bad pack though and ran into the alpha who offered a proposal to her to be his breeder for protection. Everything else is identical

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

Falling for Darkness

Weird, usually he isn't free for anything but work. We went to the bookshop first and there it was, the books I wanted. Books by Ana Huang. The trainer was a boy, dark haired and tall. "Would that be all, pretty girl? ", he asked with a flirty smirk. " Yes,... " I was about to thank him when Rowan answered. "Is that all love? " while snaking his arms around my waist and giving me a kiss on the forehead. "Yes? ", confusion took over my entire face. And the guy was staring straight at where his hand was.
