Book Free Fall Novels & Stories

Chapter 1 Kelly There's a moment between impact and realisation that you're about to hit the ground a wise person once said that; when you fall down you are in free fall, you don't realise that gravity is going to pull you down and the minute gravity pulls you down that's when you can feel the impact and pain of the events that had just transpired and falling down isn't falling down if you don't feel pain . Is the realisation that you're hurt and it's accepting that you're in pain and you had no control over what had just happened.

I stretch my arms which makes a book fall on the ground. Ehh? Did I bump in this thing? But... that is impossible. I mean... With a frowning face I look at it only to see that it is impossible for this book to fall because I bumped on it. The shelves is also not that fragile, there are no wind to push this to making it fall. To add that conclusion, this book is not that light and I can say that it's cover is fairly heavy. With a questioning eyes I never knew what is the reason of this thing falling but one thing to be cleat. This thing isn't something you can find elsewhere.

99 wouldn't show up for another 45 minutes. I stopped hesitating and climbed up onto the windowsill. The wind roared into my pajamas, raising goosebumps all over my skin. "Let's gamble." I shut my eyes and threw myself out. The feeling of free fall swallowed me whole. The wind in my ears turned into a high-pitched scream. 16th floor, 15th floor, 14th floor… The ground rushed up toward me. Right when I should have smashed into the sidewalk and turned into a pile of meat, something impossible happened.

I said as I tried to stand up, but his weight on me held me down, and with this movement, it sent another roll of books falling down. Which one fell directly on me as I caught it and held it close to me for a few minutes before Luke could get his posture back? I sat there, not interested in standing any longer. As I looked at the book, it looked different, not like the ones I used to go through.

"A mess. He is scrambling to borrow money to cover the holes, but it's too much. He can't fill it." "How much?" "Nearly 20 million dollars. The company is on the verge of bankruptcy." I sighed, "Has he called the police?" "Yeah, but Yvette ran off clean," John replied. "It will take time to track her down." I hung up, reflecting. Elliot's betrayal hurt, but we'd shared five years and a son. His downfall stung, but it was his doing.

My body dropped instantly, just like a kite that had lost its string. The wind screamed in my ears as I fell. Faintly, I could still hear the manic laughter coming from the twelfth floor. The overwhelming weightlessness wiped out every thought in my mind. Then, my body crashed into the ground with a violent impact. It felt like every bone in me shattered at once. Pain shot through me like sharp knives, spreading from my right leg throughout my entire body. I could feel the bone in my right leg break. The agony was so intense that I couldn’t stop myself from groaning. Sweat and tears poured out uncontrollably, soaking my clothes in seconds.

He didn't want me to take the risk. At that moment, a sharp electronic beep sounded from below. A black remote control appeared in Anisa's hand. "Let me show you what weightlessness feels like." The basket's brake was released remotely. Without warning, the metal cage fell into free fall from nearly 100 feet in the air. My stomach shot up into my throat, and all I could hear was the wind and the chains shrieking as they rattled wildly. When the cage was about 33 feet from the ground, it stopped abruptly. The sudden inertia hurled Anthony and me forward like rag dolls.
