You actually finished it?" "I've read it three times," I admitted. "Three times?" He looked genuinely impressed. "Most people won't even read it once because of the length." "The length is part of the appeal," I said, feeling slightly more confident talking about books. "You get to live in that world for longer, get to know the characters so deeply. It's like being part of something bigger than yourself."

I hadn't memorized where I was reading so if I wanted to continue reading it would take me some time to find where I was reading. “More interesting than me?” Alpha King curled his lips. I nodded vigorously. Alpha King didn't care about my answer. He was still very happy. “Books are just a place to record knowledge and experiences in life. If you don't have the opportunity to experience what is written in the book, then you need to read it, but if you have the opportunity to experience what is written in the book, you should put the book down and experience it for yourself, that's the right thing to do. Books are other people's experiences, their experiences are not necessarily correct." Alph

He nodded his head in understanding, "When you get time, it's crucial you read that book. There is some very interesting information in that book." "Why can't you just summarize it and just tell me?" "It's better if you make the effort to read it yourself," he said, his facial expression as hard as stone. The man hardly ever smiled if my mother wasn't around. I still wasn't allowed to lock it and after what happened the last time, I figured it was best not to lock it anyway.
