Hidden In Plain Sight

Hidden In Plain Sight

The second one made more sense but it was also the one that I had the most doubt in being the truth because of the duration and everything happening and what I was hearing that I didn't know before. I had given up on finding anything in the local libraries or even on the internet because everything that came up in searches was folklore and creepy stories of people who swear they have seen the undead and everything else parents use to scare us, children, into behaving ourselves. Some of the sites I had ended up on had seriously scared me a lot more than the three men who had turned into vicious beasts and nibbled on a moving car's tyres.

I heard his footsteps against the floor as he walked towards the bookshelves. “Do you know why they are said to be one of those?” William asked which I responded with a deafening silence. “They are blood drinkers,” he said. “Vampires.” I turned towards him. “But those are just hearsay, Victoria,” he sauntered towards me “just stories the old ladies and mothers used to scare their children to stop them from going out at night.” “If those are not true…then…why is my father still scared of them?” I asked him. He sighed as he put both of his hands on my shoulders.

The Human

The Human

Safe and hidden from the monster who kills and forces me to be a cannibal. I finish cleaning and tuck myself into my closet about an hour before the bedroom door opens. I keep my breathing shallow as I listen to the footsteps, but something tells me it isn't the monster this time. The something is the clicking of heels hitting the floor instead of flat shoes. Curiosity begins to stir within me, but I keep myself still. I don't want to make anyone mad. All the animals in this house are dangerous. "What are you doing here," the monster growls, and I cringe within my dark closet.

That was an amazing story. Very different from other Werewolf stories I've read, & has some very dark themes at times. But I couldn't stop reading. Thank you Sadie, was a really great story. Look forward to a sequel!!! ♡♡

I stayed with Adley in her small living room, watching horror movies about creatures that didn’t exist in this world, until darkness smothered the outside world, peeking in through the sheer curtains that made their living room feel all too exposed. “Zombies always give me the creeps.” Adley shuddered, “There’s something so scary about coming back from the dead, having your face and limbs rot like that. Bleh, no thank you.” “I can’t be afraid of zombies, not when things like ghouls and Librarian’s exist.” I let out a hearty laugh, trying to imagine a hoard of zombies maneuvering through the forest at night.

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.

The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

Vampires and Vampire Hunters

Vampires and Vampire Hunters

"Don’t worry. We have many other bedrooms." "Then-" and once again he cut me off. "Because I don't trust that everyone in this house has fed. I won't risk it..." He said. And with that he turned and left. Leaving me in his room...alone. I had to admit that his room was very simple. The duvets were black and white. The carpet was dark blue and the curtains dark red. He had a large desk in the corner which was stacked with the most unexpected things. Reading books! Actual leisure READING books. They ranged from horror to sci-fi. Most of them were written by a famous hunter author named Vladimir Rodriguez. Those books were mainly the "fiction" ones. They were fiction to humans, but all too real

Blood and Moonlight

She says interrupting my monotonous recap. I break eye contact with those insanely blue insanely gorgeous eyes and turn back around in my seat. I securely sit on the bottom of my jacket so it doesn't ride up again. I sit back against my chair arms crossed over my chest. I stand at a measly 5ft even and my small stature allows me to bring my legs up between me and the desk connected to my chair. I rest my chin on my knee as I pretend to listen to the lecture over gothic horror, excited at the fact we're about to start Frankenstein. I've read the book already and have already started working on the material for it for my business. I've realized I've made a calculated mistake when I turned arou

"Then Orion must be the one in great danger now. As what have my father said, Nerissa don't kill her preys right away. She plays with their minds first, but after that, she kills them mercilessly. Also, the weaker the mind of the man, the more possibility that he will go insane even after he is rescued. I hope your friend has a strong mind so he it will be easy for us to awaken him from Nerissa's magic later on." We continued walking but moments later, we made an abrupt stop when we heard roara that echoed in the whole place. I turned nervously and my heart started to beat frantically when I saw two giant tigers with two heads and snakes as their tails. They look at us as if they are hunters

The True Nature Series

The True Nature Series

She walked to the whiteboard, picked up a marker, and wrote in large capital letters, the word IMMORTALITY. "I understand that next week you will be moving away from Shakespeare and jumping into Gothic horror literature ... just in time for Halloween." General interest spiked. Halloween was a favorite holiday for most students. Me? My life was already a nightmare. Who needed costumes when real monsters were already roaming our town? "By any chance, has anyone read The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde?" asked Mrs. Jackson. Students looked around at each other, but no one raised their hand. "How about Bram Stoker's Dracula?"

Badblood

Badblood

She have seen her mother being devoured by the Reapers in her dream and seeing it now felt like Agatha was one of those bodies. Minutes after, there's nothing left on the bodies but bits of flesh, blood, and bones, but the Reapers seemed to want more. They slithered towards the Badbloods that lined on the entrance but they were sent staggering backwards as the guards pushed the torches to them. They hissed and we're scratching their sharp claws. The smoke that's coming out from their bodies mixed with the smoke of the torch. The guards advanced to them, thrusting the torch forward, sending the monsters wiggling backwards.

Lost Soul

I was able to shout at them my teeth gritting together with the cold. The girl, Cassidy or whoever she was, moved towards my two servants Ana and Marissa, she stood over them as she motioned her hand to them as if she was choking them and I see them in pain coughing hard again and again their face turning blue as blood flowed out of their mouths. I was terrified. I can feel my heart beating so fast, I'm in a panic. I have to snap out of whatever spell or voodoo this is. Hannah? I told myself this cannot be. I must be dreaming. I closed my eyes trying to calm down while telling myself that this is not true this is just a dream. I breathe in and out. It suddenly felt very quiet. I can feel my
