House Of Night BY P.C. CAST AND KRISTIN CAST Hogwarts for vampires? Yes, Harry Potter had his wizard school, but there are at least two series that give vampire teens their own school. First up: The House of Night series, six books written by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, a mother-and-daughter team from Tulsa, Okla. Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted and Tempted. Vampires are chosen almost randomly, and they have to enter special academies, where they go through a program and slowly change — or die. This series is quite well-done, and has a lot of goddess theology and ritual in it.

Eventually, with my arms full, I found Nicholas still in the fantasy section. He was engrossed in a thick hardcover, his brow furrowed in concentration. “Find something good?” I asked, approaching him. “Possibly. But I think you might like this one.” He handed me a paperback with an image of a woman wielding a sword on the front. I read the title aloud. “‘The Lycan Chronicles.’ Hmm, never heard of it.” “It’s a fantasy series,” he explained, still flipping through his own book. “Great world-building, complex characters...” He glanced up and smirked. “Plus, it has some... steamy scenes.”

I looked at the sets of books that cost me thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours just to read all of them. “Yeah, Izzy,” I said as I grabbed the set of Percy Jackson Books by Rick Riordan, and I could almost feel tears form in my eyes, “these books seem like they’re harmless, but I know in myself what they do to me, and I know how much these books affect me spiritually. I need to let go of these books and set myself free from myself and my addiction.”

I was busy reading some of the book titles: The Lord Of The Rings, The Hunger Games, The Harry Potter Series, The Lightening Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympian), The Last Mission.... Wow, he has good taste in books. I can't believe he actually read these. I began laughing to myself. "What's so funny?" Tyler asked. I turned to look at him, still laughing. "It's just so hard to imagine a boy like you reading. If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed it." I commented.

Back in LA, in times like this, where I had nothing to do and was seemingly distracted, I would lie in bed, reread one of the books on my shelf, and reread it the next day until I could almost memorize the entire thing. I'm an avid fan of reading. I loved J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, James Patterson's Maximum Ride Series and his other books like Suzanne's letter to Nicholas, Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, The Kane Chronicles, Heroes of Olympus, the House of Night series, Blue Bloods and many others I can't name now. I sighed for the second time when my aunt called my name and refused to get my butt off her black couch in the living room as I flipped the television from one chann

"The Forgotten Kingdom series. It's about a girl who discovers she's descended from dragon riders." "Let me guess. She saves the world?" "Eventually. But she fails a lot first. Makes mistakes. Gets people killed." I paused. "That's what I like about it. She's not perfect. She's just trying."

She plucked one book after another, reading the titles aloud with the excitement of a child at an ice - cream shop. "Oh, 'The Chronicles of Aetheria'... ‘seducing Mr Grey’ .... ‘How to drive your Lycan crazy’.... ‘Tales of the Lost Kingdom'... 'Legends and Lore of the Lycan Forest'... "Rise and fall of Lycan-werewolf treaties. “. Sera's voice echoed softly in the quiet library. She carefully selected a few promising books, cradled them in her arms, and found a cozy corner with a plush chair to sit herself comfortably.

*Kendrick Pov* I paced around the library and ruffled my hair more thinking about what happened just now. This is what that should happen and not a thing can change this. "Kendrick! Our warriors are waiting for your order to go on a war on Kingdom of Velimar." I heard Uncle's voice when he entered the Library. "We need to take some more time before doing that Uncle." I said glancing at him. "But you have told me if I send back King Albert and his Daughter back safely then we will cry a war on them as it will be justice to do it in that way." Uncle said accusing me.

He was ruining my fantasy. “You were this pretty little girl. Sweet and innocent. Too innocent. I've killed more than I care to count, seen so much death and destruction, I always thought there was no way I could inflict that on someone who doesn't understand.” He continued, his words tumbling out as though he was speaking without thinking about it.
