Her First Love, My Last Breath

Her First Love, My Last Breath

Yet, I was the very last person in the entire manor to find out. I burned the last portrait I had painted of Princess Jasmine and let out a bitter laugh. It didn't matter. I was nothing more than a ghost. What right did I have to meddle in the affairs of the living? Just then, Princess Jasmine stormed into my bedroom. Catching the lingering smell of smoke in the room, she frowned slightly and paused. "What are you burning?" I lowered my head slightly and avoided her gaze. "Nothing. Just some useless things." Princess Jasmine didn't think twice about it. She frowned again and demanded, "You'd better explain to me what that coffin at the gate is all about. You know that Stephen will be formall

HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME

HE BROKE ME; THEN HE OWNED ME

“Someone who keeps the good parts alive.” He nodded, chewing on the thought. Then, to my surprise, he crawled closer and rested his head against my arm. The room was silent except for his steady breathing. I could feel the rhythm of it through the sleeve of my shirt, that fragile, growing heartbeat that didn’t yet know the weight of the world. I reached for the book again and turned to another page. “Let’s end with something lighter,” I said. “Try this, Hope is the thing with feathers..’”

Alpha Erik

Alpha Erik

Libro Vitae whispered its voice harmonious. "Libro Vitae, please show me where Alastair is hiding," I asked. The book hummed in response. Libro Vitae became warm in my hands. The cover opened, pages flipped continuously until they suddenly stopped. The words on the page jumped off the paper, floating into the air, wrapping themselves around me. In a blink of an eye, I was pulled into the book. Light flooded my vision. Every sound echoed around me. Voices raced past me, speaking in riddles. Some shouting, screaming, others a dull whisper. Libro Vitae's voice became louder as I watched the trees form around me.

Mrs Magnolia
Don’t let the price of the chapters fool you, these are the longest chapters I’ve ever seen. The price is well worth the amount you’re receiving. One of the best books yet, not only does the author do a wonderful job telling the story but also keeps you intrigued the entire time.

Love how this story is written. I have read the entire series and I can say it is a whirlwind of emotions. Alpha Erik is the first of the five book series and it stole my heart from the start. Definitely worth the read! Big chapters too!

The Billionaire’s Rejected Wife

⸻ And again. Elara stepping out alive. ⸻ Beautiful. ⸻ Poised. ⸻ Standing beside Aaron. ⸻ Alive. ⸻ Alive. ⸻ ALIVE. ⸻ ⸻ Her breathing became uneven. ⸻ “No…” she whispered. ⸻ Hands trembling slightly. ⸻ “That’s impossible.” ⸻ Because dead people— weren’t supposed to come back. ⸻ ⸻ Then came the second blow.

Breathless

Breathless

No one can. I am thrashing, fighting for my life, but nothing is working. Where is everyone? I'm dying and this is the end for me. Bubbles coming out of my mouth and I can't do anything to save myself. I'm losing oxygen. "Victoria!" I hear a light voice. My shoulders start shaking. "Victoria!" It's getting louder. "VICTORIA!" It's so loud. My eyes shoot open and let out a loud gasp, I want to sit up but something is holding me down.

Breathe me back to life

Breathe me back to life

I stayed there frozen on my seat, unable to move an inch. “Breather in and breathe out. Breathe in and then breathe out….” I kept chanting those continuously until I could finally calm my nerves. “You can do this, Aiv! You’re a strong girl.” I mentally prepared myself and slowly turned my head to see the “person” staring right through the window at me with its dark ashy green eyes. I felt a chill run down my spine. It was like someone had poured icy cold water on my naked body in winter. Our eyes locked for a second, but before I could come back to my consciousness, he disappeared.

Living with His Mark

Living with His Mark

The only indication that he is alive is the slight rising and falling of his chest and the slow heartbeat that can be heard by our advance hearing. When I enter the hallway I am not prepared for what I see. Alpha Christian is huddled on the ground with his knees pressed to his chest, sobs racking his body. “Alpha?” “They kicked me out. Her heart stopped beating and they kicked me out.” His words are laced with anguish. Time stops, time literally stops at his words.

I wish I read this book before I read the 2nd book because the 2nd book isn't finished and hasn't been updated in awhile. If anything can go wrong in a story, it did in this book! The author had me glued to figure out how all these twists and turns were going to work themselves out. Must read!!

Dragon's Breath (Book One)

Dragon's Breath (Book One)

I chirp giving her a wide smile. She doesn't respond, but simply looks away, turning pale. *** Days have passed since my shopping trip with my mother and today I'm spending the night with Miss Ann while mother works. Miss Ann is one of the nice ladies who work with mother. She watches me while mother works and will even tend to us when we are sick. I really like her! "Miss Ann, have you seen this book? It's one that mother got for me when we went out shopping. It's an old book on tactical warfare," I shout excitedly while practically shoving the book in her face.

Echoes in the Ashes

Echoes in the Ashes

The Secrets of the Tome Tension was high as Kael and Zara gathered close to the tower's base, the first dim rays of dawn piercing the dense fog. Zara lay on the chilly ground with the old book in her arms, as Kael stood guard, his blade still in hand. The warmth of the crystal, which had faded to a gentle light, served as a continual reminder of its existence. Zara traced the elaborate designs engraved on the leather as she brushed her fingers over the book's faded cover. Every design appeared to have a slight pulse, as though it were living. She whispered, "This book feels like it's breathing."

A Rebirth of Flames

A Rebirth of Flames

"My baby… Hang in there!" Much to my dismay, my stomach was flat, even though I was due to deliver my baby soon. How did that happen? Before I could comprehend things, I heard a panicked voice beside me. The person shouted, "Celia? Celia! Are you alright?" Why did that voice sound so familiar? Then, Celia Lumley's frail voice rang out, "Save me, Raiden…" Disbelief filled me as I looked up. I saw Raiden Seager half-kneeling beside Celia as he frantically moved a table off her body.
