He didn’t want the kind that made him feel human. I lifted the book. “Are you sure you want me to read this? It’s kind of boring.” “I want to hear you.” Something hot coiled in the pit of my stomach. I cleared my throat and focused on the words. I read the first paragraph slowly, letting the cadence settle. My voice filled the room, soft and even, just above the quiet of the storm. Mikhail closed his eyes like he was letting the sound sink into him.

His voice came snapping me out of my reverie and I was glad he spoke up cause I had a feeling that he wouldn't have liked it if I had kissed him and so I simply nodded, slipped from his lap, sat back where I was earlier and picked up the first book. It was titled 'one kiss from you by Christiana Dodd, great for the moment! I opened the pages and began to read while Orian reclined on the seat with his arms spread out paying an attentive ear to my voice.

It was a story filled with crappy cliché, and I also don’t know what I ate to read that kind of book. Maybe I was momentarily out of my mind and bought that book in the bookstore, or maybe I was asleep as I picked that book on the shelf.

i can learn so much from reading it. In the middle of drowning in my book I felt a presence opposite me and heard the sound of chair screeching and within a half minute I heard a rough male voice " Hey there! iam watching you from the last one hour reading that book without moving.so,I came here to check that you are dead or so" He said laughter in his voice.

Maybe my abilities weren't as bad as I thought they were. “Tell me what is written.” Jada said in a voice full of curiosity. I scooped the book from the table into both hands. The light shimmered on my face as I smiled like a child who had found candy. I prepared to read the book aloud so that Jada could hear.

I smiled as he nodded again, his brown hair bouncing around as he leaned in a little closer. I opened the book and started flipping through the pages, looking for a good story or myth to read to him. I paused for a moment at the title page that read ‘The All Mother and the Sacred Four’, tilting the book towards Calix. He smiled and scooted closer, nodding again as I turned the final page and cleared my throat.
