Books In My Library Novels & Stories

OLIVIA’S POV The library had become my favorite room in the house. That surprised me. I had expected to feel like a guest in every room, moving carefully through spaces that did not belong to me. But there was something about a room full of books that felt neutral. Like books did not care who owned the house. They just waited for whoever needed them. I spent the morning running my fingers along the shelves looking for something I had not already read. Most of the titles were familiar. Business. Law. Architecture. A long row of biographies of men who had built things. Very Jaden, all of it.

I looked around the large library on the fifteenth floor of the office. Two years I worked here, I never visited the library because of course work is more important. Besides being used as a display, this library is usually used for programmers who want to work in peace. If Big Man's secretary hadn't taken Rhysand and me to the library, I might have been the only employee who had never visited this room. I love reading. Reading novels. The first novel I read was by Louisa May Alcott; Little Woman, and then moved on to other feminist novels such as Handmaid's Tale and Pride and Prejudice—the book I'm holding right now.

After I was done with Vixxen, I headed to the library. I admired the scene as I ran my fingers over the books on the shelves. It's rare for me to come across this many books. The few I have touched are the ones that my mother has given me before. I didn't know which to start from, but I felt myself getting pulled to a particular shelf. I checked the tag and saw that the shelf had books that talked about old legends and prophecies.

It's hard to focus without her, but I lead Axar into the small library with me as I begin to search. Having been alive for so long I've acquired many books and ancient pieces of literature. Some are in immaculate shape, others are torn segments and several pages, barely tethered together by bits of spine. Many of these are family heirlooms as well, handwritten and handed down to future generations for guidance. Some are my own notes and contacts, roughly scribed here and there and then stuffed back onto shelves. I find several books on banshees and a couple on cambions. I find some on death as well, and I stack it into my arms with the rest the pile. "Take this one too." Axar softly suggest

I chuckled as I pictured his father's look on his face. “Were the fuck are you” I thought as I opened from one of the boxes to another, all having worn out papers or jewelries or another photo collection, I groaned in frustration and placed them back the way they were. Maybe Damian didn't keep his documents here, he had other houses and this was just one of them. My attention was drawn aback by his collection of books, I thought of checking on them before leaving the day we both had a rift. They were old art, modern art books, almost all art authors were in this Library and I marveled over the realization. Damian was very specific I concluded in my mind as I looked over and over and over aga

The embarrassment of him finding out about my period still lingered, and I couldn’t bring myself to face him. When Isabella and I finished breakfast, I headed to the library to read some books. I hadn’t realized how delicious Italian dishes could be until now. I should definitely ask Vanessa to prepare more of them for me, I thought as I sorted through the books on the shelves. As I browsed the shelves, I noticed that most of the books were of my favorite genres. "Did Alessio stock the library with all my favorite books?" I muttered to myself, recalling how he had once asked about my preferences.

Byron and I sat in the library, going through books quietly, our legs intertwined. "This book is about childhood friends. It's cute but not the type of book I'd normally read." Byron said, putting the book in the already growing pile beside him. "Then why is it in your library?" "Most of the books here are for Rose, I'm not an avid reader. If it's not self-help books, count me out." He replied, surfing the shelves for another fiction he could manage.

In the corner of the room there is a large fireplace and several individual sofas that have high backs. This place looks elegant and classic at the same time. I raised my hand to trace the titles of the books lined up on the bookshelf while reading slowly, from encyclopedias and science books to books with titles I couldn't read because they were written using the Russian alphabet. Alpha Sam didn't follow behind me while explaining how many books were in this library. I nodded slightly in response politely. I took a deep breath to smell the old books and papers in this room, this is my most favorite smell besides the smell of pine.

She was also hidden in my backpack when I applied for the job in the local library, I always had a weak spot for the books and stories, when they took me I couldn’t be happier. My job was easy and simple, just help people buying their stories, cash them out, put the books back in place and finally I can read as much as I want. It was the best kind of job for me, I loved it and I got paid weekly, enough to eat, after my first paycheck, I had spent a full week starving,

There was a deafening silence the moment I enter the library just as I expected, this is the place that I go with every time I have free time because not everyone goes here, students don't fancy coming into the library anymore and do their research here since google is already available in just a tap of a finger. I went to the far-end corner of the library where I hide an old and very outdated book entitled 'Werewolves Anatomy'. This book is the reason why I keep on coming back to this library, the librarian doesn't let me borrow this book, she said that if I want to read it then I need to read it inside the library since the book is expensive and a limited edition, that being said, I don't
