Books In My Library Novels & Stories

"I'll be right here." I get up and wander toward the book sections. The library is organized by subject, with fiction on one side and non-fiction on the other. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, so I just start walking through the aisles, letting my eyes scan the shelves. I pass through the science section, then the history section, then literature. Nothing really grabs my attention until I reach the yearbook section. As I'm browsing through the section, one particular book catches my eye. It's a black book, smaller than most of the others on the shelf, and something about it draws me toward it.

James had no concept of indoor voice when he was performing. "This is the market." August was pointing at a cluster of blue blocks with the authority of a tiny city planner. "And this is the library. Libraries are important because they have books." "They are very important." Patricia was nodding seriously, cross-legged on my living room floor in her expensive slacks, not a single complaint about the carpet or the noise. "What kind of books do you like?" "All of them." August considered. "But mostly the ones about animals. And space. And animals in space."

she replied her and when she noticed the worry on her face, she said, “Be at ease. There is nothing to worry about.” Like a spell, Amber suddenly felt relaxed and she walked to one of the shelves before pulling out a book. A frown came to form on her face and she pulled out few other books before placing them back in its place. Turning her body to look at the woman, she said to her, “Your library is for cookbooks, flower characteristics and Animal instincts?” “Mm, what were you expecting?” the woman answered, not looking at her and Amber scoffed. “I thought you might have some fictional books with some genres like Teen, Young Adult, Billionaire and Romance but I can’t find any of that right

Those were good times. Pushing open the library door, I was enveloped by the familiar scents of paper and ink. The sleek, modern shelves, packed with books of every genre, rose majestically to the ceiling, creating a sea of literary treasures. Every book had been handpicked by me, each one a reflection of my eclectic tastes. I navigated the narrow aisles, my fingers trailing over the spines of the books until they paused in front of a shelf filled with classic novels. With a practiced motion, I pulled a row of books off a shelf, revealing a small, discreet panel. I pressed my thumb against the cool surface, and the panel slid open with a soft click releasing a whisper of secrets.

I close the door quietly. I spend an hour in the smaller library looking at the books. He has everything. Fiction. Nonfiction. Art books. History. A whole shelf of poetry that looks like it has never been touched. I pull out a volume of Mary Oliver and flip through it. Someone has dog-eared a page. I read the poem. "Wild Geese." I read it twice.

But I had caught her reading a book every now and then. "The books here are thousands of years old," I told her. "You can pick whatever you want, Love." We went our separate ways, searching for books that I thought would have useful information that would help Mikhail. I never let her get out of sight though. I saw the book she picked up and I saw that it was about fayes. A shy smile grew on her face. She wanted to know more about her kind. I found a book on vampire venom and thought it would be useful. I decided to not check out these books. It was easy because the library was empty just then. I put them in a bag so no one would see the titles of the books.

Asides from exploring a large number of books both old and new, my major problem was the number of people I ran into and how much trouble they caused me. "You're here again today." Felicity beamed at me as I entered the library with an enormous stack of books. "We need an online library," I muttered to myself, disgusted to face this bitch so early in the day. I could read on Cahir's tablet which he never used, but I suspected I would find more topics on rogues in the older books, most of which were not available in the online library.

My escape ! A sneer smile spread on my face . I walked slowly inside the room . My head rotate a little to intake the view . It was huge . My eyes sparkled with determination . There were thousand of books in several rows . I have never seen such magnificent library inside a house . This personal library fucking need a librarian to manage it . He surely held a treasure . I wonder did he read books . I managed to took out a book from history section . I love reading history . I don't know why people get bored reading it . I feel it extremely engrossing .

I placed my hand on the cold knob, and it creaked open under my push, revealing a library. Dust floated in the amber light coming from a chandelier, the scent of old paper surrounded me like an embrace. Shelves towered on all sides, cracked and faded with a variety of books. My fingers drifted along the titles crested in the rectangular back of the books, then something caught my eye—a red hardback, its cover smooth and untouched. The title was etched in gold: LEGACY OF THE CROSS.

In the corner of the room there is a large fireplace and several individual sofas that have high backs. This place looks elegant and classic at the same time. I raised my hand to trace the titles of the books lined up on the bookshelf while reading slowly, from encyclopedias and science books to books with titles I couldn't read because they were written using the Russian alphabet. Alpha Sam didn't follow behind me while explaining how many books were in this library. I nodded slightly in response politely. I took a deep breath to smell the old books and papers in this room, this is my most favorite smell besides the smell of pine.
