Novel & Cerita Books Like Night Circus

If you haven't read this, you will want to as it is so much better than Cruz, darker and grittier. This is the series that has taken up most of my time and if you read the books, you will see why. Her eyes brightened at the sight of the books. “Good morning, dear. Any recommendations for a book to curl up with?” she asked, voice warm but tinged with hesitation. I folded my novel shut and looked up, offering her the practiced smile that hid the iron beneath. “Depends on what you like. Something light? Something dark?” She hesitated, then said, “Dark, but with hope.” I tapped a book nearby, The Night Circus. “This one weaves mystery and magic, but underneath, it’s a story about trust and power.”

We all knew the real star of this show was; from the first time I saw that ribbon drop from the ceiling, I knew Elsie was the star of the show. On warm summer nights, when the cicadas and crickets play their songs, and the fireflies dance across the moon if you look under a big top tucked away from the regular world. There, in the front row of the stands, you can catch sight of the main character. The circus always makes a special stop for a private party when the heat sticks to your skin and a chorus of wolves can be heard through the bayou. That night is for the Sundrop pack; that night is for Elsie; that night is for us all to celebrate how far we've come and where we are now.

Secretary. An hour later, the party was in full swing. Nico had cut his cake, and the room was filled with people's laughter and music from the DJ. Some of Nico's guests were moving about with a plate of their own portion of the cake, while others were holding a glass of alcohol in their hands. I sat at the bar, nursing a glass of scotch, not too strong, just enough to take the edge off. Several women had tried to catch my attention, with their gazes lingering on me, and their smiles were so flirtatious. But I wasn’t interested. It wasn't until she noticed the strange book tucked away in the corner that she was able to distract herself from her thoughts. "I almost missed one," she whispered. As she walked over to it, she noticed that its cover was worn, and it seemed to emit a faint glow that caught her attention. Maybe it's how the moon perfectly acted as its own spotlight that made it seem so glowy, but it's not just that. She somehow felt a little hint of amusement as she stared at it. As she approached the book, she saw the shinny title written on it, Lunaria, and she couldn't help but be intrigued. The moonlight shining down on the pages illuminated the words in a way that made them seem to come alive.

The dim lights, congested setting surely made me envisage the reason for students to not enter the room. Nonetheless, it didn’t stop my curiosity to explore this cramped obscure arcade. Consumed in looking for a book, I didn’t even notice that it was almost time for the library to close. I saw so many weird books. I soon realized they we mostly all related to philosophy and others were our old school magazines and student write ups. Every book fascinated me, just like they always do. But none of them were the ones I wanted to read in that moment. I just stepped out the small room when I stumbled on a book. I picked it up and read the name 'The Girl He Used to Know' by Tracey Garvis Graves. I

He shook her again to make Ana sniff and lazily open her eyes, but they didn’t seem to focus. “Nicoli?” Ana spoke dreamily. “Hey, sleepyhead.” Nicoli started and moved to brush back the hair from her face. “Hmm.” Ana smiled and closed her eyes again. She turned into his hand.“Why…here?” Ana mumbled as she slipped back asleep. “Did you hear me? I said the circus is here.” Nicoli went again. “They're set up outside. Big caravans. I heard lions-” “Mhm.” Ana hummed asleep.
