Between two worlds
The little furball had already made himself at home, batting at a loose thread on one of the cushions and exploring every nook and cranny.
“What should we name him?” I asked, watching as the kitten pounced playfully on a ball of yarn.
Leo tilted his head thoughtfully. “How about Biscuit? You know, in honor of your bakery.”
I laughed, the name instantly clicking. “Biscuit it is.”
As the kitten settled onto my lap, purring contentedly, I leaned against Leo, feeling a sense of completeness I hadn’t known before. The bakery was thriving, my relationship with Leo was stronger than ever, and now, with Biscuit, my little family felt even more complete.
