The Lycan King's Defiant Surrogate

The Lycan King's Defiant Surrogate

Or, What do you expect when you treat everyone around you like garbage? Instead, I tell her, “We can argue about this later.” “There won’t be a later!” Leah shouts. Too loud. Far too loud. Whatever had been looking for us in the hallway begins to pound on the door. That lock is flimsy, meant only to direct and deter the slaves. There’s no real threat in it. It’s not meant to keep out monsters. The wood of the door begins to splinter. What surprises me, in my panic-addled brain, is how the door seems more likely to give before the lock. Perhaps it’s not such a flimsy lock as I previously thought.

This story is SO GOOD. It’s a great exploration of a toxic turned wholesome relationship. The main characters seem kind of one dimensional at first, but the story explores their multifaceted personalities so well and crafts a truly believable romance out of an insane premise. Could not put it down.

This is a really amazing book; I always wish the chapters were longer because it’s so hard to get tickets… but I guess that just means it’s an even better book for making it so hard to stop reading. I honestly wish It could just go on forever and the author keeps publishing chapters. Wonderful read!

Rejected Outcast: Chased by the Lycan

Rejected Outcast: Chased by the Lycan

she answered. It was then I recalled where I was when I placed the book under that spell and approached the window. On the frame, there was a rock that seemed a little loose compared to other parts of the frame. One would have to pay close attention to the frame to notice it. Not just how loose it was, but also how different it seemed compared to the rest of the frame. ‘Here it is!’ I thought, easily taking the rock out of its place, which in turn caused it to turn into a book. The book that we were looking for.

His Captive Mate

His Captive Mate

He finds what he was looking for in the lounge. “Fi, I need a hand here. I’ve definitely found something suspicious.” Nate calls out, he begins throwing books off the bookcase and onto the floor out of the way. Fi appears and joins in after Nate points out the scratch marks on the floor that indicate that the bookcase had been moved many times, always in the same way. “Okay, that should be enough weight off, help me move this thing.” She nods, They each grab a side of the bookcase and slide it along the wall until a door is revealed. Nate grabs for the handle, but it was locked. Fi hums,

NOT A DOORMAT ANYMORE

NOT A DOORMAT ANYMORE

Not quite a smile. "Come in," he said, and stepped back from the door. The inside of the house was not what I had expected. I had prepared myself for an extension of the fourteenth floor. The controlled stark look, the deliberate quiet, the atmosphere of a space that had been designed to function rather than to feel. But the entrance hall had a child's drawing framed on the wall. A large figure and a small figure standing in front of something that might have been a house or might have been a tree. The large figure had dark scribbled hair. The small figure had what appeared to be a rabbit under one arm.

Frame Me Twice? No Way, Ma'am

Frame Me Twice? No Way, Ma'am

It looked strikingly similar to mine. After revealing both pieces of evidence, the officer eyed me sternly and said, "Do you have anything to say in your defense, Mr. Latham?" With Jessica and Stanley anxiously watching me, I slowly shook my head.

Alpha's Second Choice

Alpha's Second Choice

came a voice from behind her. Jo yelped, slamming the book shut so fast it sent a cloud of dust puffing into the air. She lurched upright— —but the ridiculous pink chair clung stubbornly to her backside. She flailed, kicking and twisting, arms pinwheeling uselessly. A low, amused chuckle rumbled from the doorway. Jo finally freed herself with an undignified squeak and spun around. The man leaning casually against the doorframe was tall, broad-shouldered, with sun-roughened skin and a scar slashing through one thick eyebrow.

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

I have a feeling this isn’t food. I twist the single manacle I’m left wearing on my right hand as I near the door, worried about messing up my plan by opening it and whoever’s behind it locking it tight again, like Declan failed to do. I make a snap decision and stuff a book as far as I can beneath the left door, knowing the right side is always the one that swings open. If the door remains unlevel, it won’t lock properly. At least, I’m praying that’s the case. I listen as keys jingle on the other side of the door and stand back, my heart hammering.

is someone stealing your books. I red a story almost identical to this a few weeks ago but I can't remember the name of it. The girl was running from a bad pack though and ran into the alpha who offered a proposal to her to be his breeder for protection. Everything else is identical

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

The Hunt for Knowledge

The Hunt for Knowledge

The others had followed her lead and were all headed to their own doors. “I guess the saying, ‘You can’t judge a book by its cover’ works on doors too,” Beecher teased, poised and ready to open his own door. It was not painted and in fact looked to be made of distressed wood. “If there was any justice you would find a doggie bed inside your door.” Aquina blushed, knowing she had been caught trying to find the fanciest room.

The Hybrid pack

The Hybrid pack

My dad tries to get me to leave the book, but I tell him what the rest of the paragraph said. My dad moves the panel wider open and steps through, and then when I step over the threshold the panel closes behind me and seals itself back up. I jump a little bit, as a bunch of dim lights start to turn on by themselves. The dim lights lead down a small path to another door that seems like it’s locked when dad tries to open it. However as soon as I step closer with the book, 2 circles appear, 1 on the door and another on the back of the book. I line them up with each other and there is a sound of deadbolts unlocking and the door swings open on its own accord.
